Okay, so I wasn't sure that I was going to like the game so I did not buy the season pass with the game but bought it after I had already started playing the game. Doing so allowed me to access literally nothing, Ubisoft knows this issue but is not telling anyone. The issue is not even listed on the "Known Issues" page of Ubisoft Connect. I just thought I would do the best I could do to let other people know this issue exists so that others do not do what I did and pay 30 dollars for zero content.

Everyone knows that? It's been in News entries for a long time. You couldn't even buy the SP until after the game's release.
It seems like the meaning of Season Pass has been lost now, but that was what it meant when they were created: access to forthcoming content, intended to keep you playing beyond the release week into the months after.

Most of the time when I finished main standard version, Season pass was been released and so I couldalso get cheaper than buying Day one or bundled.
So there is no point buying any other version than standard, or deluxe.
Buying Gold or Ultimate edition is just waste of money.

If you and other people dont have access to the season pass content, you/they didnt enable the uplay overlay. Its needed to unlock the content.
And btw. the chat support...as in most cases for every major company does not have a clue about anything. You know what people work for the chat supports? In most cases and again for major companies, they have nothing to do with the game developing. They are just poor souls, who have their scripts and basic stuff to help out and collecting and sending "reports" to a higher level. Proven by your log. He simply had to tell you to enable the overlay.
If there is an error due to you having started the game before owning the season pass, thats another case. But a lot people, me included, who have the overlay disabled, have access to the season pass and enabled it, have access to the all the content now.

It's weird people seem to have forgot the meaning of season pass.You pay in advance to get access to every upcoming DLCs, whetever they may be. The option to purchase later will always be there. Nowhere it was ever implied you'd get anything day one, in which case it was specifically mentioned (e.g. Watch Dogs 1). I thought this was common knowledge.
What you CAN get day-1 is the ultimate pack:
- The Urban Jungle operators pack (3 ops - the Lynx, the Jaguar, the Viper),
- The London Disident Mask pack
- VIP status for 28 days
- Watch Dogs 1 Complete Edition
The Dedsec car skin is also probably available to SP owners. Not sure since I don't know how to customize cars.
And if you pre-ordered you also get the golden pack.

I understand the confusion. Ubi's advertising emphasized that you can play with Aiden from the beginning of the story so I can see how people could assume that if you purchased the DLC you could do so when the game released. In reality Aiden and Wrench will be released probably in a few months and at that time you can REPLAY the game and play them from the beginning. This isn't a glitch, they're not finished yet no one can play with them right now.

The other misunderstanding/confusion people are having is due to the versions this game has. Previous Ubi games, like before 2020, had a Gold edition with some contents includes right after launch, generally cosmetic, weapons and/or cars.
WD-L does not have these contents "bonuses" for who pays more than the Standard one to use rightaway. It has a Gold/Season Pass edition and a Ultimate (Season Pass + Vip status [WTF?]) edition. That's the main question of this topic.
So, indeed, he payed for a post-launch content, but in other games Gold meant a bonus content to play at launch.
I personally checked twice this Gold edition as I generally liked those bonuses that were coming with Gold editions in previous games, but this time it's not the case, unfortunatelly.
