Ubisoft financials for first-half of FY21

With all the speculation about a potential Division 3 and the lack of new content for Div 2, I took a look at the latest Ubi financial statements. Sadly, this is all it had to say about Div 2:

    Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2, For Honor® and The Crew® 2:
    - Double-digit year-on-year growth in Q2 net bookings for each of the three games
That suggests the game is still selling (this covers April - September), which seems consistent with how often I see low SHD levels in the safe houses on PC. Here's hoping that will spur some new content so they stick around.

And for those wondering why Siege is getting a next gen enhancement:

    Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege:
    - Over 65 million registered players and circa €2.5 billion in cumulative total consumer spending since launch
In other words, they have no plans on killing that golden goose

Yes, I saw this earnings release too, which I perceived as a very good result for Div 2. Let me be clear -- a game that was launched in March 2019, is now generating revenue in the "double-digits" with respect to growth (as compared to the same period one year prior), and WONY was actualy released BEFORE this April - Sept 2020 period, which is material. We know in previous financial statements that the game sold over 10 Million copies, so I infer from these results that the game was certainly very profitable, albeit perhaps less profitable than Division 1, but nevertheless, a material success, and almost certainly indicates that Division 3 will be produced, and I am guessing an April 2022 launch, or thereabouts. For all of the haters out there, the game can certainly improve in many respects, but many of us find the game enjoyable and well-worth our cost to play. If you don't like it, go play something else and stop writing negative and useless posts here chastising the game, for it seems clear that many of us are having a good time and continuing to support the game. Cheers.

or another way to look at it is it sold so poorly the first year that selling it at 3 dollars increased its revenue the second year

As noted, this covers the period starting in April (i.e. a month after Warlords was released). And while the base game has been on deep discount, Warlords has not.

Yea thats why most players waited a yr an a half for it to go on sell, it was the people that has experienced ubi and massive charging for progression in a game, instead of just extra content. If there's a d3 I'll be part of the 2nd yrs buyers, why pay 60 dollars for a game that ur gonna have pay 30 to keep progressing, when u can play the old game for another yr and only pay 33 dollars for the 2nd game and the expansion. And am not saying the game isn't fun, but they should have just gave everyone the 10 extra levels and let poeple buy the expansion when they chose 2, like u said the expansion is still 30. Too the poeple that got both for 33 dollars did have ubi ruin their builds 4 time with in a yr. So they had nothing to be pissed about

    Thank you for the information.
It gives me a lot of hope there might be some interesting year 3 content. Even if it is paid DLC like WoNY (which I loved - unlike the Summit that is wasted resources in my opinion).

I for one, would certainly pay $30-40 for a large map/mission expansion with another raid.
