Two hours on a roof top, killing Unidad... and crash

No, not a complaint. Had a fun afternoon. Went to my favorite building on the map, at Remanzo. It has only one way in, via stairs you can mine.
It's got an ammo replenishment box. And enough cover that if you stay crouched, you won't be immediately killed.

Ran it for two hours. Shot down uncountable helicopters. Mostly one shot with a BFG 50 sniper. Throwing rebels and mortars down on the Unidad ground forces.
Eventually so many helicopters had crashed that they all started making crash sounds while already down. A couple blocked my access to the roof, so I had to use my drone to see what was what.

And then the game hung and crashed. Probably memory related or something.
I should try this again and keep an eye on memory usage, because really...

    The last 4:40 minutes.

I've done this in one of the Unidad bases before, using the HQ buildings and holding off the Unidad for ages - I think at one point I'd almost doubled the size of the building with all the crashed choppers around it - the wreckage literally blocked off all the entrances on the ground floor.

It's indeed fun to take some time, and just "let loose" in the game world.

I've always backed off before the FPS counter gets too low for playability - just too many assets cluttering the landscape for the system to support the longer it goes on.

BTW, I think it's time to re-load my all-female team, as it's been a long time since they've had any fun in Bolivia

I never thought of staring a ruckus at that spot but it sure does look like a nice play to have some fun with the Unidad folks... Awesome!

Of course now trying to replay, the game doesn't spawn any Unidad there. Or when it does, they quickly drive out of there, or despawn.... I may have used up my quota for the day.

One thing though... anything that looks familiar?

Okay, so the crash happens for me when video RAM reaches 7009MB. All the time before that it's fine at 6850-6970MB, then a spike to 7009MB and game crash.

These developers really like that hot pink

And then doing a mission, close combat with some Unidad. I see one soldier shoot away from me, but of course he hits me. I hate it when the game has to cheat like that.

    THIS!!!!, so much this!.

It has been one of my biggest petpeeves since R6 Vegas & 1, GRAW I & II, FS, Wildlands and well, this latest Turd that we still have to call a TC GR game for some reason. This much lazy coding in part of the studio just to rush or justify a AAA shooter game. And NO, just because others do it does not mean is ok to do so as well. I can wrap my head around it (more) on a fantasy game like Far Cry because, well, it is a fantasy shooter but NOT on a modern so called tactical military shooter.

Meh, it is useless to say it again and again because at the end of the day, we just gotta go read that post about Watch Dogs Legion to understand that if there is another Ghost Recon game in the pipeline, it will be same ole same ole... unfortunately.

Just watched your video. Awesome. Question though. At 4:03 when you are looking at the wall on the steps it looks like you have added a laser sight to the BFG, how did you do that? Reason I ask there is a red dot on the wall.
