I will be creating a server for 8 players. The Inaugural Player Created Map Trial Night will feature maps by Mambonuts, BoA Wrath, BlkDog7 and myself. If you are interested in playing, please sign up below. Anyone wishing to get their maps into this or future trial nights should post a reply here and should plan to attend this first trial night. We may have to host additional nights to get them all in.

Map Judging Criteria
1) Aesthetics
Visual Appeal - Do you like what you see?
Construction - Are objects well positioned and well presented?
2) Gameplay
Balance - Do all teams have an equal playing field?
Level of Challenge - Is the level of difficulty for meeting the game objectives challenging but not impossible?
Pace - Does the pace of each game type appeal to you?
Player Growth - Are there opportunities for players to improve their skills? Does the map provide players with enough "hidden" opportunities for the player to want to "master" the map?
3) User-friendliness
Pitfalls - Are there areas of the map in which you get "stuck" that do not seem to be intentional devices of the map creator? Does the map flow?
Access - Are you able to reach playable areas and levels of the map with a reasonable amount of effort?
Power-ups - Does the placement and availability of power-up items suit the map?
Vehicles - Does the placement and availability of vehicles suit the map?
4) Longevity
Will this map stand the test of time? Would you play it again and again?
I'd love to do this as well I'll host a dedicated server as soon as XBL comes back up and will be for Chaos and Team Chaos. It will consist of a 4 map rotation between 3 maps I have made and one map made by Duke Cage. The Maps will be Trench War v7, Temple of Doom3, Danger Isle, and HQ Grounds v8. My maps can be downloaded here ==> http://www.halo-universe.com/fci/pafiledb.php?action=au...id=Steel%20Ah%20Live

P.S.
Make ya a deal TeKid_0C, I'll host yours on the next night and you host mine. Like the next night or 2 nights later if you can. we'll just swap people and find out what maps people like.
Steel,
For this first event, I'd like to have 8 participants playing 4 maps. The 4 maps will be from the map makers listed above. We'll do a quick walkthrough of each map. Map maker can give one "tip" before the walkthrough. We'll then play two game types on each map with 8 min limits. That's about 1hr 20mins to complete the whole event. There will be at least four participants in the event that do not have a map being played this time. At the next event, their maps will be featured. I hope this setup will persuade people to participate in judging, not just sending us their maps.
This thing won't be much fun with less than 8 players and interest has been lacking. I would love to have you join us as one of the 8 participants on Oct. 26 and I will feature your map on the next round. I plan to do the second event within a few days of the first one. If we have more than 8 participants, we should definitely go with your swap idea. Interested? Look forward to having you join us.
I've got a smaller 4 way map, which with a few touchups would be ready for submission. The rest of mine are still in the works.

Hey people, I'd like to participate in trial night. It's Wednesday at 8:00pm PST (I'm on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada) so that should be perfect. I've got mambonuts on my friend list so I'll join when I see him online, bout time we got a game in! Although I am a mapgod myself, I understand we cannot be featuring too many during that particular night, so you'll have to be good hosts and show me around your creations! See ya Wednesday.

TeKid,
That would be great I'll participate Just send me a Friend request. Hell I just want to PLAY hehehe, advertising my own personal maps is not a goal either, just trying to get em out there so people can have as much fun as me and friends are. Not to mention supporting each other as map makers is where it is at. If we all support one another then the community grows more powerful as a whole, and shows ubisoft that we too can make some pretty **** cool maps, even if they limited us to what we can make.
Look forward to playing on the 26th.
