And the performance issues wouldn't be a major problem if you left Steam and epic out of the equation.Originally Posted by tbag111 Go to original post
Causing a game to use multiple services that do multiple checks on a continual basis causes performance issues and I will lay it out in simple terms because people such as yourself seriously fail in the understanding department
This is what happens with a straight up UPLAY version of the game:
UPLAY and Denuvo Must be running,
Uplay check in with both the UBISOFT server and also checks to see if Denuvo is running
Denuvo must be running which it then checks in with it's server.
That is is for the UPLAY process
Now compare what happens with a Steam or epic version of the game (Replace Steam with Epic)
UPLAY, + Denuvo + Steam all must be running at the same exact time,
Steam also has all it's features running on top of all that.
Uplay checks to see if both Denuvo and Steam are running
Steam checks to see if both UPLAY and Denuvo are running,
UPLAY checks in with the UBISOFT server
Steam checks in with Valve servers
Denuvo checks in with Denuvo
Do you seriously not understand and see why so many people are suffering from performance problems?
Hey guys!
A little heated in this thread, but try to keep it civil, we're on the same team here!
I totally appreciate that there are indeed performance issues in general on PC at the moment. We are aware of framerate drops that we are planning to fix via a patch today. I don't have exact timing for this, however this thread will be updated when this is known.
This is pretty bad. I have a 9700k, and a GTX 1080 Ti, and I have to drop my game's settings to the absolute LOWEST to even barely scrape a 60FPS at 1440p. My monitor has a 120hz refresh rate, and I know I can't always get all 120fps, but I would've at least liked to see my frames be in the 100s. So right now, not only am I getting a really bad FPS, I'm also getting terrible visuals due to having to bring my settings so low.
When it dont crash game runs smooth on my rig getting 90+ fps and all settings high. Not sure what you lot are doing maybe too much porn and other crap running on your PC at the same time.
The freezes and crashes started after I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers.
This morning I changed the compatibility mode of the exe files to try and fix the crashes and it won't get past connecting to ubi connection.
So i have 2 options search and mess with settings to fix or sit here whining the game don't work. If you have many Ubisoft games you know they cannot run games with DX12 without issues just look at Breakpoint and The Division 2 both cook your cpu at 100% and run in DX11 better than in dx12. They even had to release vulkan drivers for Breakpoint.

Latest vBIOS and nVidia driver 466.11 - usually run my card OC'd but have even tried dropping core and mem clocks with the same result.
Breakpoint is the only game that crashes on my system. Event viewer shows error - Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
I have DDU'd my drivers and tried all drivers from 466.11 to 459.89 with no luck. DX12 runs at about 1-2fps so is unplayable. DX11 works well with 90-100fps maxed out but will randomly crash.
Hoping there's a fix soon! It otherwise is a really fun game but the crashing just ruins it for me. Will be waiting for new drivers or updates before trying to play more.
Please work with nvidia to fix Ubisoftthanks
