Purchased the game on the Epic Store, when I try and launch the game it opens the ubi connect app. the ubi connect app wants a product key, however if I open the ubi connect app I can see that there is a key already registered for watchdog legion.
If I take that key and put it in for the ubi connect activate a key prompt, I get "This CD Key or Activation Code is already active on this account. please visit the games library to accesses your games". Seems like a disconnect between the epic store and you app.
Thanks?
Hey there, Odin.Son.
Sorry to hear you're being asked for an activation key. I'd suggest trying to completely close both epic, and Uplay. (Shutting them down, rather than just pressing 'x' to close). After that, please launch both applications again as administrator. Afterwards, if you're still unable to play the game without this error, let me know!
EDIT:
Shefaria - have you tried the above? I want to ensure both applications are running from administrator!
I've tried all the steps listed by Ubisoft support. Closed both Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect. Made sure they were completely shutdown. Even restarted computer. Issue persists.
EDIT:
Also opened both Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect via Administrator mode. Went through entire MFA process for Ubisoft Connect. Then launched Watch Dogs L, and am this asked to provide activation code.
@ UbiWan
Account Paulpno - I have shut everything down. I also rebooted the PC but it still prompts for activation code. Also ran epic and ubisoft connect as administrator and it still promps for activation code. When I open ubisoft connect my game is not there - it just says add to cart. I already bought it in Epic. Very frustrated.
I have exited both programs through the system tray. I have opened both of them as an administrator. It is still asking me for an activation code.
Can we please just be sent out activation codes so that we can get this game working rather than trying to jump through all of these hoops?
I have already waited 11 hours past the promised launch time, and how now spent 80 minutes trying to deal with this nonsense. It is time for Ubisoft, Epic, or both to get this product working.
The thing is for people with terrible internet this is a massive joke it took me 8 hours to download it then i waited for 16 hours for the 3pm launch and now i have to wait another 8 hours to download it a 2nd time because 2 MASSIVE companies can't use communication to make a game launch from the ******g menu W H A T T H E F U C K
