    What's the deal with Ray-tracing?

I have an RTX 2070, and so far every game that is supposed to have ray-tracing, Doesn't have it There is no on/off option in the graphics menu making it impossible to have this feature work. When showing off an in game feature like that, every demonstration shows what it looks like with Ray-tracing off, and what it looks like with ray-tracing on which means there is an actual option in the graphic's menu that allows you to turn ray tracing on/off. yet there isn't one and there is no possible way to know wth is supposed to be happening. Most people I talked to don't even know what they're supposed to be looking for so they wouldn't even know what is supposed to be happening.

I'm really tired of game developers pulling the lets put a feature in a game stunt, then we'll never fully explain how to actually turn on/access those features or anything needed to know. Instead the only thing mentioned is how good it looks, and look at the lights.

It is in the graphics settings menu under the quality tab.

Strange, it’s definitely there for me and very obvious under the quality section towards the bottom in between the thick of the graphic settings and advanced. If you go from subsurface scattering straight to advanced, then something is wrong. Don’t know if you need the ultra hd dlc installed but might want to check if you do incase.

There is no possible way anyone would know that without being told (Like you just did here). Also I was in that tab and didn't see it.
Furthermore who would ever bother going to that tab.

BTW Tomb Raider doesn't have a way to turn on/off ray tracing.
Seems to be a running trend with UBISOFT games.

As I said above, I'm sick to death of developers putting things in games and never explaining anything about how to get them to work.

I actually made several adjustments in that tab such as shutting off bloom and motion blur.

I also want to point out that the Last thing on that list in that tab is Subsurface scattering..No ray-tracing option

Not defending Ubisoft but both this game and Tomb Raider have very obvious options for Ray Tracing on or off. You have something wrong with your PC if you're missing these options...

you must be trolling. if you are too stupid to find the option in the most obvious place (graphics options) and can't be bothered to go through all the tabs then it's not the developers that are the problem here. what the hell are you even doing on PC if you can't find an obvious feature like this? should've sticked with the console version

What release of Win10 are you running? I'm thinking you are not up-to-date. You won't see the options if your OS doesn't support.

I never said they were missing did I?
and people in this thread are calling me stupid?

To the rest of you, piss off with your if you can't find the options you're dumb attitude.

And no Tomb raider does not have an on/off ray tracing option anywhere in any menu. I made a video on this so don't even bother being a troll. UBISOFT screwed this up and everyone knows it because of what I pointed out. So don't even try to pretend you cannot see how it's a problem.
