Cyberpunk 2077 delayed again until December 10 ....... Which kind of pizzes me off since I just pre-ordered it last week at 10 bucks off .... and now I have to wait another month while CDPR gets an interest free loan of 50 bucks from a lot of people ...... No wonder it was 10 bucks off and I bet they already knew they were going to delay it before the sale even started .....
Well if the Devs were caught off guard then someone is lying to us ...... because the reason for the delay is the Devs aren't ready yet and are still testing it .....Originally Posted by eriknova1969 Go to original post

How could the Devs be caught off guard when they were the ones doing the testing? Sounds to me like the ones caught off guard was management
Think what would have happened if Ubisoft had taken the advice from the people who said they should delay Valhalla because it was too close to the release of Cyberpunk ..... They would have shot themselves in the foot
What bothers me about this is the timelineOriginally Posted by Megas_Doux Go to original post
They announce Cyberpunk 2077 has "gone Gold"
Same day they make a deal with Amazon (and maybe Epic) to sell pre-orders for 10 bucks off
A week later they announce the delay
Sounds to me like a way to drum up for cash for a short term Interest Free loan at the Consumer's expense ..... I know I feel like I've been taken because I took that pre-order deal last week and they HAD to know they were going to delay it all along ...... The only reason I'm not more pizzed off about it is I didn't plan on playing it anyway until I got through Valhalla although I did want to play with the ray tracing ability .....
CDPR has had financial problems. Some of the documents are available online as a result of grants and loans they received from the Polish government.Originally Posted by longjohn119 Go to original post
I can’t be bothered to dig up said documents, however. I’m putting the finishing touches on a 3D printed Master Chief helmet (for tomorrow . . . It was done, but then my eldest messed up the electronics and several other things when he was helping me with the paint) and we’ve just adopted a five month old puppy (who is not sleeping through the night).
My Magic 8-Ball totally saw this coming.
I can believe it, their only real income is from highly discounted versions of Witcher 3 and the GOG storeOriginally Posted by DreadGrrl Go to original post
Another thing most people aren't aware of is the original plan for Witcher 3 was to sell the DLC expansions for $9.99 each and they had to give them away for free to make up for the fact that when the game came out it didn't look anywhere close to as good as E3 demos and people were upset about that ...... Originally the plan was to expand and add more developers for Cyberpunk and that ended up not happening because they gave away the DLCs which is why it has taken so long for Cyberpunk to come out .... It was originally planned for late 2017/early 2018 but they just didn't have the manpower ......
They screwed up again and now I hear they are getting death threats which is going a bit overboard for a 3 week delay, I'm kind of mad but sheesh I not going to get violent over a video game delay ..... They have a big enough rabid fanbase where if they had just been honest and came out and said they needed fans to pre-order because they were having financial problems and they would have gotten flooded with money but instead they took this route and it's backfiring on them ...... They built up a ton of trust and they just threw it away
It takes years to build up a good reputation but it only takes 5 minutes to throw it all away ......
