Going from two to three times acknowledge UAC

UPlay updates had first one, later two UAC acknowledge windows.
UConnect immediately starts with three times having to click Yes. You know how quickly that gets very annoying?

Hi there Ageless93. I do see how that can be aggravating when launching Ubisoft Connect, and I sincerely apologize for any trouble this has caused. If you restart your PC and launch it again, are you still being prompted three times before it will launch? If so, if you run Ubisoft Connect as administrator are you met with the same three prompts?

I had the same problem, after switching Ubisoft Connect to run as admin, then opening it, closing it and turning off run as admin, it works as normal so far. No UAC prompts.

It's at every update to UConnect that the UAC windows happen.
And since you're updating it quite a lot since you changed from UPlay to UConnect, it's almost every day now.

    Thanks for that workaround, n0bo6_DD102!

If you haven't tried this workaround yet, please do!

    1) Update to Ubisoft Connect
    2) Run Uplay PC/Ubisoft Connect as an Admin
    3) Open the launcher
    4) Close the launcher
    5) Launch the launcher without admin privileges

Why don't you guys fix the actual issue instead of telling everyone to use a workaround every time you make an update?

Instead of doing one-off support, can you perhaps provide some guidance on this public forum as it appears to affect a large number of users?

Simply by doing a fresh install of Ubisoft Connect in Windows' Program Files appears to trigger this behavior.

Thanks for the update on this issue, pflammertsma.

Could you confirm if you have tried the workaround steps provided by UbiDork above?
