The things I'm hoping for are
- an option to reduce or remove the weaponized drones from the open world, unless they are part of a story narrative.
- the ability to drag bodies, instead of picking them up
- removing the gradient criteria for CQC kills
- when swapping to your sidearm, your primary weapon is pinned to the chest (just like it is when performing CQC kills). to simulate the use of a sling.
- and because so many people want it, make it so if you press and hold Y, when not being prompted to focus, that it holsters your weapon
I’m really hoping for updates to the Enemy Ai, with better options to choose their level of Vigilance, aggression and lethality separately. Patrols sizes upped but less frequent.
I would also like to see the enemy have ammo limits placed in them
An option to cap the ammo levels you can hold overall
Would like to see the mounted weapons have limited ammo
Gear like chest rig, pants, boots and helmet actually giving logical stats. Much like tiered loot mode minus the numerical value in level and a more logical damage protection, mobility nerfs depending on the logical weight of the gear. I think it’s really doable since we already have such values available in game, but they’re just attached to an RNG based drop. I think it would be a dope change. Another thing would be cleaning up the UI system, the cursor is really annoying in my opinion.
We all know by this point to simply set our expectations extremely low to start with, that way we can’t be properly disappointed when the updates finally drop,
Although El I’m not opposed to the slider idea when it comes to more customisation options it just all depends on what new options are introduced.

As others mentioned above, I'd like to see options to improve the game world with more patrols (the "being hunted" premises of the reveal) and to disable drones or, even better, ways to deal with them stealthy.
In addition to possible gunsmith addition (even for DMRs this time, pls) like the universal scope system, I'm hoping for vests' customization or some improvement to their look. Last dream would be a mission editor to give replayability to the game.
Realistically? Some settings to change azreals' fly rates, as they were hinted on the forum IIRC, and the rebels' toggle.
Other than that I don't know what to expect in realistic terms.
