Why devs makes all mast so boring? Removing all ledges, removing all paths. What is that supposed to accomplish? Why intensionlly make game worse? So the players wont get frustrated?! Really?! It's their failt for careless positioning on map, but now it's gone, as well as satisfaction of instantly killing enemy by outsmarting him. Removing leddges isn't making game more fun, more balanced maybe, but fun from game is more impotant! Balance should work for fun, not the other way around!
Ah i see you don't understand the game. There is nothing fun about having certain objectives or routes literally impossible to take because the enemy team camps them with heroes that are infinitely better at ledging. Getting a GB on someone isn't outsmarting them, it could have been luck or purely because of character difference. Shaolin VS Raider, raider has soft feint to GB making him better at getting one, shaolin has 0 throw distance, raider can displace you across the entire map. It's quite pathetic seeing the same tired "just position better" argument being repeated by brainlets who have zero clue on map design and probably jack all when it comes to having any sort of recognizable game sense. I'm sorry you can't get easy ledges anymore. Guess you'll have to learn how to actually play.
Not every situation is "oh well they just stood their with their back to spikes or a ledge so it's their fault." In fact the hole that used to exist on C point for gauntlet was a precise example of this not being the case. You were always in danger of being ledged if you participated in any group fight in there because and CGB or blocked light could lead you to being knocked into the pit.
Some maps favor defenders hard because of these hazards making it next to impossible to actually capture a point without risking being ledged from a few spots. Not to mention you've got heros with extended throws. So how are you going to tell me that I "didn't position well" when a raider or a warlord happens to get a guaranteed GB on me and carry me off a ledge? You can't because that's not a catch all response to poor map design.
Instead you'll just hand waive some response that makes it "okay" in your eyes because you just LOVE having free kills handed to you.
