Hahahaha. When I said I would laugh if they ended up just going the "unlock all the rewards" route like "legacy games" after the long wait I thought I was being unreasonably pessimistic. I paused my 70% Odyssey game and delayed starting Valhalla for three months just for them to do everyone dirty like this after saying challenges would transition. I am livid.

On top of this they have the gall to present this like they solved the problem and everything is good now?

Is Ubisoft seriously just going to wipe their hands off this and leave it as is? I am beyond disappointed if that is the case.

Damn. I was 100+ hours in when they decided to "transition" Odyssey. Now three months later they're changing the story and saying "Sike! All those hours spent on challenges are wasted, sucker."

    Hey guys,

In response to the recent update where this issue has been resolved, I can see that there is a negative sentiment regarding core challenges being unavailable, therefore I can confirm that this feedback has been forwarded to our development team accordingly.

Forwarding to the development team is useless.
    Ubisoft f*cking lied to us.
In your announcement of Connect, 3 month ago and in the linked support article was Odyssey clearly listed, as a game, that would be transferred to the new loyalty system (I guess that should have meant challenges and rewards).
And this transfer should have been the reason for this 3 month of waititng.

And what did you liers wrote in the news Update yesterday: "Odyssey has now transitioned into being a legacy title. This means that all Rewards* will be unlocked for free and challenges have been disabled." Or in other words you decided that you are to incompetent to fulfill your promise and make it just a legacy game to after all this waiting.

    You guys disgust me.

Personally I have a theory why it took them so long. AC Odyssey to my knowledge received the final patch in October, so before the whole transition started. And most of the time (if not always) Ubisoft completely abandon their games that are no longer developed. Look for instance at Heroes 5 Hammers of Fate. The game for about 2 years was corrupted on Uplay, and eventually this year they deleted it from Ubisoft Store, instead of actually fixing it. The game, however, works perfectly on Steam and GOG, so imagine how lazy Ubisoft has become. Not to mention that they do not respect their own products (and customers).

Okay. Well I too am quite upset by the disappearance of the challenges. First, because it was said that for this game they would return when the "transition" to the new platform finished. They have not returned, you have deactivated them, if this had been warned from the beginning, I would not have paused my game, to be able to unlock some achievements later, with the experience rewards and ubisoft points, but they will no longer be available.

Second, because the message it indicates in Ubisoft connect is that the challenges are "temporarily disabled". "Temporarily" they say to the public, but we have to get into the forums to see that it is not true, that the disappearance is total. And this not only for this game, but for everyone. Why not specify it for everyone, if this system is not going to be implemented again?

Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback on this. We're sorry to hear this, and have forwarded this to the development team for further investigation.

At this moment in time, we have no information to share regarding the reintroduction of community challenges to Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. If we have any new information to share, it will be shared on our official platforms and within the game forums, so please keep an eye out.

In the meantime, please feel welcome to share your feedback within this thread, as it will be forwarded to the dedicated team for further investigation. Thank you.

I don't know, if you forum mods, those developer guys and those from the Connect news are talking past each other.
What do you want to investigate? That Ubisoft lied AGAIN?

    Here some Ubisoft quotations:
    first from this support article
"After the maintenance the new Core Challenges will be enabled for For Honor, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Hyper Scape, The Division 2 and Steep. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Rainbow Six: Siege will support them after a future update."

second from this Forum news post made by Ubi-Kay
"Games that support the new overlay
-Assassin’s Creed Odyssey [PC] – Includes Smart Intel. Challenges & Rewards will return in a future update."

and last the news after Odyssey got "fixed"
"Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has now transitioned into being a legacy title. This means that all Rewards will be unlocked for free and challenges have been disabled."

I think my quotes speak for themselves.
    Ubisoft are liers.

So, how this "forwarding to the development team" looks like?
Oh, wait. I forgot. No one there gives a darn about it.

Hey Vughenhal, thanks for getting in touch and apologies about the delayed response.

Due to certain limitations, I am afraid that our team was not able to successfully complete the transition to Ubisoft Connect and therefore Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be treated as a legacy title.
