I've been looking and using the coyote mask more recently. I'm trying to analyze when to use it, it's limitations, affects on the team, stuff like that.
A simple one would seem to be, if I'm already at 60% crit chance, I won't get any benefit out of the crit chance buff it provides. I assume the same would apply to the team, if all team members happened to have 60% crit chance, then no one gets any benefit from the crit chance buff. Would you say that when using it, you may not want to have your base crit chance be higher than 35%? Or does having more crit chance for when you don't have the buff make up for losing some of it when you do?
I've read that the buffs are not additive if multiple team members wear it and they activate the same buff variant. For example, if two team members activate the 25 meter buff, only one would count but if one activated the 25 meter and the other activated the 15 meter buff, then they both count. Is that agreed on?
With multiple team members using it, there could be as much as a 35% crit chance buff. Would you say that not having anyone on the team with more than a 25% base crit chance would be ideal? Or are there other considerations?
I don't know if I want to consider all the possibilities of all team members wearing it. My brain hurts just thinking about that.
One last thing, I don't understand the end mission stats of Real Crit Hit Chance and Real Crit Damage (those may not be the exact descriptions). I've just recently noticed these. I've seen that they are lower than my base levels and I don't understand that. If I have 20% crit hit chance and 100% crit hit damage, how could those stats ever be less? I was hoping to use them as an indicator of how well the coyote mask buffs work, like if I have 20% crit chance and 100% crit damage and I look at the stats, however much higher they are would be the coyote mask buffs assuming nothing else is also providing buffs. Does anyone know how these stats are calculated?
Any other items of note on topic? Thanks for any comments.
I use Coyote if nobody else is in a raid, or when I have a face tanking loadout and want the crit damage.
The "real percentage" is pretty close, especially in a gun build where you are shooting a lot.
In your example, your real chc and CHD should be close to 20% 80% of your shots on average will yield 0% CHD and 20% will yield 100% CHD.
