They should just wrap up the story with Ellis and call it a day. Put the game on life support like they did with Division 1. Just fix the major bugs, and leave the game in a mostly enjoyable, if not playable state.
After the end of Warlords of New York story I was happy until I saw Lau go rogue and the introduction of the current model of season passes. The story twist was fine, but how the quality of content has dropped post ending of WONY I REALLY don't see the game fairing terribly well into the future.
If a Division 3 is made we would see the same problems. Same bugs. Same "growing pains" that Division 1 had and that massive failed to learn from and repeated in Division 2. I don't think they need a third chance to fail us.
If they make Division 3, it has to have SIGNIFICANTLY more content than this game. If they want it to be narrative content again, then this .
Seasons with 3 new missions and a new stronghold EVERY season.
New raid every other season.
Cool global events with entirely new manhunts, challenges, etc. Not old content on a timer.
One new game mode every other season.
Charge $30 twice yearly for the updates.
So by now in Division 2 we should have had....
4 new game modes
21 new missions
7 new strongholds
4 raids
And tons of cool unique global events
I kind of said the same thing....Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
Then expect base TD3 to be smaller than base TD2.Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
To be honest, I could see them doing that. One big DZ, one WONY size map, then Helicopter ride Mission/Season releases [or half map additions on the borders? Basically 1/4 DC map size]. We already have Coney/WhiteOak/Pentagon/Manning/Raids like that.
Each Season tracks down a new "High Table" target. Three missions, followed by taking them down in their Stronghold. Each has a new Skill + two exclusive Global Events themed to them/skill.
Though I'd prefer Incursions to Raids [allow them to scale from 4-8?]. I'd happily pay $30 for 6 missions, 2 strongholds, an Incursion, and a Game Mode.
I prefer incrusions than raid , it much faster find 4 players
I play now division 1 on my PS5 because first one i only play on PC - and my god this undeground is very cool we play today 3 phase and on each phase hunters appear 5x3 - 15 hunters to kill on 1 undeground run !! , soo much fun and intense action
i never play resistance and i hear this mode is also fun, and play survival , myy god how fun is division 1 , incrusions , legendary missions (div 2 have only 3) iven rewards for commendations are better in division 1 "unique masks" or outfits" division 2 have backapack trophy and ussles chest with 1 item trash loot
This looks like division 2 was created on another different bad team
OPtion D: GO back and start work on Division 1 again.
Give us another expansion with another 2-3 missions(Maybe let us go back to Brooklyn and expand that area)
Give all the missions in that game a Challenging and Legendary mode
Give the weapons another balance pass so that its not just LWM4 and The House........
Turn the Aircraft carrier into a mission of its own
Liven up the Light Zone a little more, with random enemy encounters and random pop up alerts(basically like side mission type things that pop up and we can do them for Div tech or something)
Expand the main Manhattan map either north or south some more, complete with more missions and side quests.
Reduce player power a little bit in that game
-Reduce Max mod roll from 267 to 250
-Reduce Max main attribute stat on gear from 1401 back to 1286(Ofc this would require changing talent requirements)
-Keep the 2 rolls for Classy gear and apply that to all gear pieces
-DO another rebalance pass on some of the more obnoxiously OP gear sets like Nomad and buff the crappier ones like Tacticians and Fire Crest
-Rework some of the skills to be more useful and powerful.
Yeah, screw Division 2 and OMFG can we not have a Division 3? But yeah, go work with the one game you've got that is actually really good......just dont let Massive kill it.....who made Division 1? Go hire them back....
They made the grind a replacement for content they never delivered. The only way to keep people playing with no content was to make the loot drops garbage and intermittently introduce new sets and exotics to keep you chasing them. I seriously hope they realize that the next game has got to be right and not ran by a skeleton crew for a year and a half. I will do as I always do now that I don't trust any game company anymore. I'll wait until well after release to see if the game has a road map, is it polished, is the content replayable, etc. I will never pre order or day 1 buy a game again since all these companies care about is maximum monitization with as little investment as possible. I want to see a commitment to making a great living game product that is constantly infused with content and reasons to keep playing. Division 2 failed miserably on that level.Originally Posted by Hoyman77 Go to original post
