Bridge Crew has always been a bit glitchy with but the issues are usually easily fixed by returning back to the briefing room.
Since Thursday’s launch of the Quest 2 all of the common games glitches have increased to the point where the game isn’t playable anymore. The common glitches are:
- mic not working
- no sound from crew and ship
- waypoints disappearing so can’t complete missions
- can’t join/invite crew to games
Plus new ones since Quest 2 launched:
- briefing room: Users/crew unable to move
- briefing room: crew assignment panel not working (eg. I select Helm no one else could see that)
- Captain chair: view-screen option nav bar not appearing for crew
I’ve read the Ubisoft profile problems for new Quest 2 but this issue is MUCH MORE WIDER than that. I’m on a Quest 1 and the crew had a mix of PSVR and PC VR headsets. We spent about 2-3hrs starting games and returning to the briefing room before giving up. What a waste of an evening.
I feel sorry for anyone that’s purchased the game new this week and their first experience hasn’t been awesome like most of us have had over the years.
It’s an amazing game. I’m just frustrated I can’t play this weekend
Cheers
M/C
Ps - if a product manager or dev from Ubisoft does read this post with the surge in new users can’t we now afford development of some new DLC? Ships and bridges from Voyagrr, DS9 or DIS or at least all bridges for ships already in the game like Kelvin class, Miranda or the Excelsior class
Monkeychuckles_: Hi there, Monkeychuckles_! Thank you for sharing this information and your experiences here. I am truly sorry to see that you and your crewmates had these issues, but I would be more than happy to see if we can work together to resolve this! Can you please tell me if all of these issues were experienced by the crew ( the PSVR and the PC VR, which I'm assuming is an Oculus Quest? ) or did one crewmate experience more than another crewmate?
I'm having similar issues as Moneychuckles on the Quest 2. I'm playing with a group of players on the Quest 1. Everytime we get in a game with me as a captain I can hear them, but no one can hear me talking. If we make someone else captain and I'm helmsman/tatical/engineering, they can hear me but my console wont work. For example, if i'm helmsman the ship wont respond to my power/steering inputs.
One time we actually got into a game where they could hear me as captain and everything worked, and then they stopped being able to hear me about 10 minutes into the mission. My mic on the quest 2 works fine, it works great in other games and in the oculus party system.
We're a group of players with the same issues
We can start a mission but then the mic cuts out from one of us about 10 min in, which makes the game unplayable.
The last game we tried using discord as chat instead, but then one of the players was unable to use his station. He was tactical and could select targets but not fire any phasers or torpedoes. We tried switching places and tactical worked perfectly for all other players, but the original player encountered problems as soon as he switched back to tactical.
This game shows so much promise, but it is in such a buggy state it is unplayable right now.
Two players were on Quest 2 and one Quest.

Same for me. I was told by other players, in the mission planning room, that the only way I could play was if I was on PC...Originally Posted by drangob Go to original post
