Maybe there's something I'm missing on this setting me straight is welcome. If I'm using the same specialization across different builds and I have the extra 15% weapon damage set differently between those builds, why aren't those settings saved when saving the build as a loadout?
It is tedious if nothing else to have to go in and respec the specialist every time I change loadouts.
If I'm not just missing some way of doing this, I'd like this to be a change request.
Yep, this is unfortunately the way it works.
On top of this, the newest content they have released, The Summit, further compounds this problem. Because when you reach the top (not going to give away spoilers, I think everyone knows a skyscraper has a top floor) the player almost certainly finds the build and sepcialization they used for the 99 floors leading up to that point is useless. You can change specialization if you happened to have a loadout created with the desired specialization. But you cannot travel away from that top floor of the summit, and there is nothing there to facilitate accessing specializations so you can't re-spec your specialization.
The top floor is not a hard checkpoint, and if you leave it to re-spec you will have to go back and start on 91.
Also, what's even the point of showing us a subwindow for specializiation weapon selection in our inventory when we cannot actually switch the weapons there? It's the same with seeing all those grenades I could theoretically use when in truth I will only be able to use the one for the specialization I have active as well as the ordinary concussion grenade. Some specializations would work well with other grenades then only the one they actually enable you to use.
I would like to use some skill variants too, like the healing seeker mine, without being forced to use the associated specialization. So sad the devs won't let me.
I guess they were too scared to give us too much possibility of loadout building there.
Reviving this post as I was gonna make one myself.
I seriously suggest this gets changed too as it is very annoying to have to go back to base to sort out my respec as I have 13 builds and a lot use the Gunner Specialization but sadly, a lot have different weapon setups. I hate to be forced to use the same weapons for each of these builds, so I am forced to have to come back to BOO to respec...
I hope at some point Specializations get a complete overhaul as there are a lot of changes I would implement to make them much more useful.
One way of fixing this particular problem would be for Ubi to allow us to enhance the damage of all weapon types for all Specializations. This way, we wouldn't need to respec the weapons section at all.
Plus, why would it matter if all weapons were enhanced this way, as you can only use three at a time anyway.
