Any word on the status of the healing trap?

    Hey Massive team,

is there any news or information on the status of the healing trap? I think its save to say that its the least used skill ingame. Maybe alongside the air burst seeker mine and the reflector shield.

I like the idea of that skill but in its current form its just so damn useless. :/

The game is generally overloaded with skills. There are some I see other people never use, myself included, regardless of whether we are soloing or playing in a team. Unlocking even more skill variants with each manhunt seems kinda pointless tbh. And enabling the use of some only by me activating specific specialization isn't exactly something I'm too fond of either. Like the healing seeker mine - I would like to use it, but I will not use the Survivalist specialization just for that one.

    No, it's still a piece of s***.

Anyone who uses it is either-
A: Just trying to fool themselves that it's decent.
B: Just wanting to run something that hardly anybody else uses.
C: Doesn't realize what trash it is.

    * The reps here won't even acnkowledge any topics that have been made about the issue, since the skill was released.
So no, don't ever expect anything to be done about it at the current rate of things.

Massive believes their idea's are ordained by the heavens. Which means they see nothing wrong with it and it's everyone else that can't understand how amazing this skill is.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Massive thought this is the best healing skill in the game and can't wrap their heads around why it is terrible.

Don't expect much from the Shrapnel trap either.

Yup, I've seen people use it along with hives (usually the Artificer Hive), with Tamper Proof talent & maximum skill duration. Ends up being a extremely long term radar & shock trap combo setup.

The Artificer Hive is a bad chance choice solo, but useful in a group using turrets and drones.

It's a bad choice solo for those that don't know how to use it. Like I said, it can be useful for a double tamper proof trap, as it'll keep the deploy-able pulse active at the same time for well over 5+ minutes.

As for teamwork, I f'n hate using the A-Hive at those times. Nothing is more annoying that half productive, non skill focused build uses mooching off my A-Hive charges with their weak & useless skills. It's better off being saved to keep my 200k+ damaging turret alive & fighting even longer, not going to some armor or dps players drone that does only 10K damage & won't survive more than 10 seconds.
