    Warrior's Den Recap - October 15

    Greetings, Warriors!

We're well into October, which in case you've forgotten, means there's a new roadmap to feast your eyes on:

Extra XP Fest on the 16th? A 3 week Extra Loot Fest? Y4S3 - TU2?

There's a lot on our plate this month, and that's before we even mention For Honor's plans for Next Gen consoles.

    Dominion Series

ICYMI, the For Honor Dominion Series is a 4v4 tournament beginning on October 24th. You and your friends can register now for a chance at $35,000 in prize pool money! We look forward to seeing which team emerges as the greatest force in competitive For Honor after the Core Combat Update.

If you're interested, but unsure whether you and your crew are ready for the big stage, we'd highly recommend checking the For Honor Trials Discord.

There are no skill requirements and players from all platforms are welcome. Coaching from experienced players in single-pick scrimmages is available - though remember, you need to be proactive, reach out, and ask questions in order to schedule scrimmages and coaching.

Competitive For Honor is just approaching the game with a teamwork-orientated mindset. Playing competitively does not necessarily mean you have to stick to a strict, 100% optimal style when you scrimmage. We definitely encourage you to give it a try!

    Extra XP Fest

You get Extra XP...and YOU get Extra XP! Hop into the Extra XP Fest madness this week and cash in big by completing your contracts and orders! You have until October 19th to Rep up.

Deck your favorite heroes out in the new threads! Head on over to the in-game store and check them out!

Thank you for joining us, and we’ll see you again at the next Warrior’s Den Recap!

If you haven’t already, join the For Honor Community on Twitter, Twitch, and Reddit.

Stay safe, and we’ll see you on the battlefield!

No balance changes it seems. Tell me that at the very least you will have a Halloween event.

No balance changes.... so its hilarious...and proves some points... Hey guys! We know some heroes are broken and annoying to play against but hey catch random events and new customization stuff! (Not sarcasm at all) Or maybe I'm wrong...i really hope so I'm so wrong and there are some balance numbers...

There will be probably balance changes announced next weak. I am more worried about the Halloween event.

The quality of those reworks is an other question. We basically hope that the four-five problematic heroes are all addressed--then, we hope that the overnerf/overbuff will not be as drastical as pk's was.

Who are the problematic heroes in your opinion?

Conqueror (Very safe defense, quite lackluster offense), Peacekeeper (more like piece of thrash), Highlander (some broken stuff, but lacks many vital things), Shugoki (disgustingly easy to play for very high effectiveness, always forces opponents to be defensive), Shinobi (hard to say which one is more thrash- Pk or Shinobi), Jiang Jun (broken parry punish if the opponent has less than 50% health). I would also tweak a little Gladiator's zone, Kensei's dodge attack, and Nobushi needs something like an unblockable. But to be honest, even the most well designed heroes (Black Prior, Berserker, Warmonger) could use some little tweaks.

I pretty much agree with everything you mentioned here. If UBI is intent on keeping Corruption the way it is, which as time goes on people definitely can handle it better although it still outclasses most other feats by far, I would at least like to see the cooldowns increased by a good bit. Too often later in a dominion match it seems like a even a single Warmonger has corruption up pretty much every time you come across them. I definely have noticed more and more lately Kensei side dodge heavy is far too safe, able to be delayed quite variably and can seem immune to GB punish which is very tough for heroes like Hitokiri. Shugoki is the only character I just despise. The people that use him as a main always seem to be quite toxic which just adds to the irritation of getting caught up in his far too easy to use kit and to constantly have control of your character taken away by off the screen hugs and gb punishes that send you flying, take time to get back to your feet, removed from the action or knocked into a hazard or ledge. Most of my gripes with him are personal and I realize aren't inherently unbalanced but its mainly that he just seems to kind of suck the fun out of engagements and out of an entire match sometimes especially if there's more than one.

Ah ok. Agreed. Wasn't sure if by problematic you meant too strong or too weak, but it was both.

I would love to see conqueror trade some of the ridiculous defense for more viable offensive pressure.

Highlander needs the chain light tweaked.

Shugoki is indeed too easy to play with positive results. Little risk, high reward.

PK and Shinobi need some serious buffs now. Too weak to be enjoyable, unless you're a GM lol.

I'm a Kensei main and as you know, I fully agree that Kensei's side dodge heavy is too safe. Needs to be less so.

I would love Nobu getting a proper unblockable (not another kick like attack)
