A Chromebook isn't a gaming laptop, it's a low power laptop. Usually running with ARM based CPUs, or low powered Intel CPUs. No dedicated high power GPU. And running Chrome OS or a light Linux.
It's used for school work, browsing the internet, doing low intensity work. I wouldn't hold my breath on the chances of BP running on it.
Thanks for providing a great answer Ageless93![]()
Laptops themselves are always not officially supported as well due to mobile graphics cards not being fully supported, so we can only advise that they "may work as long as their performance is on-par with the minimum configuration" but we can't guarantee them to.
Gaming laptops usually have mobile RTX 2060, 2070, 2080 GPUs in them (with their own dedicated memory).Originally Posted by UBI-Froggard Go to original post
Business laptops are the ones that use the built-in GPUs in the Intel and AMD CPUs, these aren't very well suited for heavy 3D gaming. But gaming laptops are. They're specifically built with lots of cooling, up to 240 Hz displays and are bulkier, beefier and more expensive than the normal laptops. For instance: Asus ROG laptops. (I'm using that as an example, not as advertisement)
We understand that some laptops, such as gaming laptops, may be able to run the games absolutely fine! As my colleague Froggard points out, laptops are not always officially supported, but can function absolutely fine as long as they are on-par with our minimum requirements. You can check and compare our system requirements here.Originally Posted by Ageless93 Go to original post
Returning to GhostSocom75's original question, a Chromebook would likely not be able to run Ghost Recon Breakpoint successfully as, as you kindly pointed out Ageless93, it was not built to be a gaming laptop.
