Some solutions to these problems, that may work for your wheel issue -
- Unplugging the wheel and reconnecting it to your computer.
- Remove any unnecessary USB input devices from your computer.
- If using a PC, close down any conflicting software and try a clean boot. If you are using Logitech G Hub, this was known to cause issues with the Logitech steering wheels in the game so we would recommend closing down this software. To see our a list of known conflicting software with our games, please see this list - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Faqs/000025721
If you would like to help us report any further issues with your particular wheel, please answer in this format -
- Full name of wheel and manufacturer?
- Platform you play on?
- Issue you are experiencing with the wheel and when/how does this happen?
- Last date and time you had this issue?
- How often do you have this issue?
Please note, at the moment, we can only offer support for steering wheels that are listed in our 'Supported Wheels for The Crew 2' article, here - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/fa...he-Crew-2-TC2/
This is absurd... The wheel is not being detected no matter what.
I have reinstalled GHUB, I have uninstalled GHUB and installed LGS, I have completely removed both of them, I have re-calibrated the wheel through control panel.
The only thing thing I didn't try was finding a way to downgrade the firmware on the wheel itself, though I'm not sure if it can even be done and frankly I don't want to mess with my wheel when it's working perfectly with every other game I tried it on.
I literally just bought this game today, after carefully checking the list of supported wheels. To say I'm left with a bitter taste is an understatement. If this isn't fixed soon I'll have to refund.
Update: I can map the controls as a joystick, but turning left or right doesn't work in-game, even if in the settings it appears to be set correctly.
Hi Mazisky, thanks for letting us know. Would you be able to try the following workaround in the game and let me know if this works for your G29? -Originally Posted by Mazisky Go to original post
1. Start Logitech G HUB and open wheel configuration
2. Start The Crew 2
3. Setup the keys like a joystick, especially left & right while turning the wheel
4. Drive the car
5. Alt + Tab to get into wheel parameter in Logitech G HUB, modify the steering wheel rotation to ~270°
6. Alt + Tab to get back in game
Tried this with the G920, it's virtually impossible to alt-tab to G HUB while the world is loaded, the game always crashes. After several attempts of doing it while still on the menu, I got steering inputs to work but the rotation is way way off so it's undriveable.Originally Posted by Ubi-Milky Go to original post
Edit: The steering inputs are simply not linear. So it's undrivable with the joystick workaround.
I am on the same boat. Somehow you can make it work as a joystick but it's undrivable and not to mention the force feedback does not exist this way.
The game claims it officially support our Logitech Wheels so a cheap workaround to make it work poorly as a joystick should not be suggested. Nothing personal against you Ubi-Milky i know you are just doing your job and you are not responsible for this, but we paid money for this game by reading that our wheels were supported and this is not the case.

Just to make sure, I just tested these games: iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, F1 2018, F1 2019, The Crew, Forza Horizons 4. Works perfectly for all of those games apart from FH4 having no FFB.
Hi N3miroth,
I also have same problem with The crew2 using G29. I installed and reinstalled both The Crew2 game and Logitech G Hub many times and it didnt worked. I tried different ways of reinstalling until it just suddenly worked. Now I can play using G29. Only issue I have is no button mapping. But I managed to fill in the button mapping by manual configuring it. I can teach you also how after you fix this issue first.
Here are the things I did that I hope will work on you and other players. I think the old Logitech drivers is corrupting the game. We must delete all old drivers. Just follow the instruction I made.....
1. Uninstall The Crew 2 game then also uninstall Uplay.
2. Delete all Ubisoft and The Crew2 folders.
Location 1. "This PC > Documents > The Crew 2 folder"
Location 2 "C:\ProgramData\Ubisoft folder"
Location 3 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft folder"
3. Uninstall G29 driver in control panel. "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers". Just right click G29 Wheel then uninstall.
4. Uninstall Logitech G Hub.
5. Download WheelDriverCleaner, exe @ http://chilp.it/c09316a. After download, open this app to remove all Logitech Wheel drivers.
6. Delete Logitech G Hub folder. Location "C:\Program Files\LGHUB folder.
7. Unplug G29 then restart PC.
8. Reinstall Uplay and The Crew 2 game.
9. Connect your G29 wheel.
10. Install Logitech G Hub. (G29 driver will automatically install). G29 Wheel will still not show up or will show downloading at this moment.
11. On Logitech G Hub home, click on settings (Gear Icon on the upper Right corner) Make sure the "ALWAYS START AFTER LOGGING IN" is ticked.
12. Restart PC.
13. Open Game.
14. Done!!!!!!
