I have mixed feeling about TU11.1 and directives increasing better loot..

DIRECTIVES INCREASE TARGETED LOOT DROP CHANCE

To give you more incentives to use the Directives, they further increase the chance to get targeted loot. This applies to the whole game, not just the Summit.

Like many here... i always play heroic with 4 directives...

I have a feeling that we're going to see a dmg buff from npc's or better resistance from skills build.

    I doubt it.

I will eat my words if I'm wrong.

i see this as a counter to the increase in the loot pool and maybe a way to power level.. nothing else

once you hit 1000 shd... and farm all you need from summit, why would you bother with directives or the summit for that matter?

ive not encountered one directive that adds anything to my game, its like washing the car and only using one hand..

the global events at least add a variation that has a positive.. increased ROF with guardians, damage buff with exposed etc.. directives currently are debuffs, that dont exactly make the game harder...

apparently in the next lot of directives there's one that inverts your mouse/controller...

No way. No-one could be that infantile. It's almost as bad as having an SMG that make YOU bleed when you use it.

Directives will increase loot drops, not loot quality. Solo players are already punished enough for choosing not to MM. The rewards are barely existent (not to mention targeted items).

While I do enjoy the occasional MM I still rather play solo.

It's like they ran out of ideas on how to make new exotics.

I don't have any feelings about the loot system that is currently in place, other then it's just terrible. The changes they made with gear 2.0 and the latest change in drop rates are awful. Not sure how long it has been since they implemented those changes but I haven't seen a few ARs and other weapons drop every since. Like I am not allowed to use them anymore but they were my favorites before they changed the lot system. You can say what you like about the old gear (at release) but I did prefer it over what we have right now.

Same with gear scores, when I play with my hardcore toon in DC mode I always know exactly if the gear can be marked for scrap the moment I see that score. Anything below 490 is never better than 514, no matter how you loot at it. But with the DLC came this whole new idea of incensing people to play and they lowered the quality of loot drops significantly in an attempt to do so.

I find myself playing much less and my expectations of any change are none, they never come up with something good. When they say it increases loot drops or quality they purposely forget to mention it's only 0.5%, which technically is an increase but you simply won't notice it. While scaling down stuff is done in the 30s of percent points and they call that tweaking and small adjustments.

If that directive is really coming to the game it only shows they themselves don't have any sense of direction with the game. They lost control and are now forcing it on players too. Or it might be a spin off from the Scandinavian sense of humor, who knows ...
