    Menu scrolling

I just purchased it last night and I'm getting the menu self scrolling. I know this is usually caused by plugged in controllers but I have only my keyboard and mouse plugged in.

I can't even setup the game because when I pull down the menu it just goes right back up on it's own. I did a search and found menu bugs but they weren't like my issue.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you sure this isn't related to any buttons on your keyboard / mouse causing the issue?

I don't believe so but I will try that and get back to you. It's funny that ghost games are the only games I've ever had this issue with? Would really like to know why!

Thanks for the reply will try it out tomorrow.

This actually sounds like something that I observed with different kinds controllers attached. If you do have a joystick, a throttle, maybe some other sort of controller attached, the mouse can act weird when you start the game. For example, if you do have a flightstick like a HOTAS system attached, with sliders and several axis and they are not all centered, the cursor might just wander off into a corner of the screen. If you use the mouse to try and move the cursor, it keeps pulling back into the corner.

So, if you are just using mouse and keyboard and you do have other controllers attached, you can disable them all in the options menu.
    Options->Controller-> General 'Enable controller'

With the option disabled, they are only active until after the first screen where you press A, or space, or another button to start the game. After that controllers are disabled and the mouse movement should stop.

    Hey,

Did you get it sorted then I take it? If not, try unplugging any USB devices you don't need to play the game.

As I said I was aware of the usb devices causing the scrolling issue, however that's not it. I only have a keyboard and mouse plugged in.

So I tried playing without setting up my mouse and keyboard setup the way I'd like it. My character keeps looking skyward so I pull him back to level and up he goes .

Totally unplayable. It's not my keyboard or mouse causing this, I changed out both and the same issue.

Also I do have a wheel and pedals but I have them unplugged when trying this. Really disappointing!

    Thanks

Well I tried something that semi works. I deleted all the profile settings for controller which lets me at least be able to move with the guy. I can't change any of my settings because now in the menu I have two cursors and the scrolling is even worse in the menu. It's like it's assuming I'm using a controller because the controller buttons are showing in game for me to use them.
How can I force keyboard to be used? Is there a way to force keyboard and mouse in the game folder and also stop it from using a controller?

    Thanks

    Hey!

I'm currently unable to connect to a test PC from home, however I can try to point you in the right direction.

This is why your settings are located: Documents -> My Games -> Ghost Recon Breakpoint -> GRB.ini

You could try opening the file and checking for anything controller-related.

I don't believe this is a bug as this is the only report I have seen, it is more likely that the PC as a whole is detecting a controller connected. Here are some ideas to try -

    - Check Device Manager. Perhaps you will see a controller in there being detected in USB
    - Disable background applications: http://support.ubisoft.com/faqs/000025721

    I hope that helps you!

Raziel, you got me thinking about windows being the issue so I went to devices and printers and found for some reason I had two keyboards listed and two mice listed. I removed both that weren't there and guess what all is well.

Thanks, I was able to get through the first mission. I guess if you run into this again you'll know what to have them check. Thanks for everyone who helped, trying to fix this issue! Still don't know why I had duplicates in there?

    Thanks
