    Next gen for honor confirmed

So, if you guys hadn't noticed, Ubisoft confirmed For Honor will make it to Next Gen consoles.

What do you guys think of that?

Personally, I feel like we will be seeing a minimum 60fps, and likely the capability of 120. If that is the case, I also feel like crossplay will finally be realized.

If framerates get normalized, do you think all platforms should be crossplay with each other? PC included?

To my knowledge, the only advantage PC For Honor has is higher framerates. I've heard lots of PC players say that keyboard and mouse isn't as good as a controller so no worries there.

If all goes well, maybe console players can finally join the real competitive scene which, at the moment, is reserved for PC For Honor players.

    Whatever happens, I can't wait!!

Warrior's Den tomorrow at 12pm ET will reveal the first info about Next Gen For Honor.

    WHOOOOOOO!!!

good news! I totally believe 60 fps will be the standard now, homever PC also has another advantage, almost no input delay.

monitor and keyboard mouse inputs are almost instant, while consoles range from 15 ms to 80 ms of input delay. a gaming monitor has less of 5 ms of delay, many believe in the pc comunity having a gaming monitor is equivalent to cheat...and I´m not talking about 144mhz here , that 5 ms is the delayed time your actions are processed by the monitor. To my knowledge KB and Mouse have almost zero delay. If consoles manage to reduce or eliminate at least the controller delay it is something, the rest depend on us playing in a monitor with less than 10 ms of delay.

anyway is great news, I can´t wait to play with better textures and 60 fps in 4 k.

Don't expect big news, you might be even more disappointed. But yeah, cross-play and 60~120 fps would be nice.

You could just hook your console up to a monitor as well lol

Also, next gen consoles will have the ability to use a thing called hdmi 2.1 that will almost erase the issue with refresh rates and the new xbox controllers will have as low as a 2ms input delay if I'm not mistaken so that issue won't exist anymore either, at least between Xbox Series X and PC.

The hdmi 2.1 thing though, unfortunately won't work with most modern tvs. It will require a new, hdmi 2.1 ready tv, plus a new hdmi 2.1 cable to run that much data from console to tv that quickly.

Even so, it will allow next gen consoles to play on big screens at the pc + monitor standard, or so they say.

Don’t think for 1 second that a console player could compete with a well equipped PC player, the advantage is not in your corner hardware wise.
Current gen consoles, you are absolutely correct. Console cannot compete with PC. Too bad this is a discussion about next gen. Lol

Do some research on Xbox Series X, the new xbox controllers, and HDMI 2.1

You will be surprised, I'm sure.

I'm surprised that it's coming to next gen at all tbh. I think most people myself included just thought we'd be playing it backwards compatible wise. But this seems like at least something big was done.

I'm expecting a 60fps cap with cross platform and current gens get left behind in their own MM pool. Ideally I would wish for a re-launch of the game because i'm not sure how much of the coding issues are actually fixable. But I don't really expect a FH 2. It would make sense with less content this year. But I don't understand why they'ed just focus efforts into making the game better in a general level if they were going to do that.

A re-launch would be nice as it could clean up lots of old code they no longer require.

For Honor 2 would be cool but I'm on the same page. I don't really see that happening.

Perhaps using next gen tech though, they can override lots of limits imposed by current gen? I don't know much about the hardware of either current or next gen besides the fact that Xbox Series X is 9x more powerful than my current OG Xbox One. Lmaooo

The confirmation of 60fps is amazing, and the graphical enhancements will look nice too. Also, dunno bout PS5, but the new Xbox controllers are rumoured to have a 2ms input lag, so basically zero. If that's true, then Xbox players will be playing at the same level as PC players in no time.

    I can't wait.

Well, you still have to be a good player. Just because you're on PC doesn't mean you are better. Sometimes people make to much of tech specs when in reality they only matter in the highest bracket of play.

Mark my words, we are still going to see complaints about spamming attacks.

I am disappointed about no cross play though.

Even if lights and bashes would be removed, we would see that. I once received a complaint about spamming crushing counter.
