Absolutely. This is probably the single best thing they could do. Ideally they actually open up the game for modding, but at least a mission editor would get some life out of it.

One thing I quickly came to appreciate about MS Flight Simulator is how modding can enhance the experience. The dev studio focuses on building a great core, and the mod community takes over from there adding scenery, planes, enhancing nearly everything.

Imagine what would be possible if modding was allowed?

Some of you have some awesome ideas for this. It'd be great to be able to play them.

I can’t see them supporting the game for long unless something changes, but like you say it could be just the thing to redeem it. If they included enemy types not currently in game, some really interesting stories could be created.

I must confess I know next to nothing about modding. I’m guessing it a PC only affair?

    What do you think?
This has been one of my main points I've tried to make since Wildlands in support of things like a functional matchmaking tool for Custom Match in Ghost War.

Ubi could mine this data and actually see what features / options of the game people really enjoy. I'd wager this would have proved there were plenty folks out there that wanted more hardcore features. ......and yes, it can work for the campaign too. This was a golden opportunity for them in WL and continues to be in Breakpoint but I doubt they will take advantage of it until maybe the last of the holdouts have abandoned the game.

We can only hope. If they see a benefit to them and/or a way to make it profitable then maybe we’ll be lucky.

Just a question, as I haven't got any experience with Ubisoft's approach to mission editors: is there any chance they'll allow us to choose spawn points for enemies, scripting and the like?

I’d like to know this also. There’s a couple of videos on YT, but I’ve only had the chance to glance through them so far.

Worth watching this to see how it works in Odessey.

Think it could work really well in BP.
