I love the new Exotic backpack, Memento, however i'm a little bit confused as to what playstyle this backpack pairs well with.
Specifically i'm confused about the Talent "Kill Confirmed" --- Enemies you kill drop a trophy on death. Collecting tropies provides both a short and long term buff. Is it run and gun or is it sit back?
How can I tell if the trophy is short or long term? I have noticed that 2 badges will show up on my HUD, however, when i'm looking at the battlefield and i see all these symbols they look the same.
That brings up another really frustrating question for me. How can I 'pick up' all of these trophies when i'm in the middle of a firefight??? I'm effectively only getting 1/2 of the benefits of this exotic backpack, and after the firefight is over I run around and pick up trophies that are "short term" and effectively waste the buff because i'm not in combat anymore???. Can you imagine trying to do a Level 4 CP with all hell breaking loose with Rogues, Heavy Enemy convoy's etc and trying to run around and pick up trophies?
I would like to challenge the logic behind this Talent. Instead of dropping on Kill, can the short term buff just immediately be applied to your agent?
What are other players doing to make the most out of this backpack?
It really seems kind of broken to me and I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to implement this backpack into a build(aside from the obvious free skil tier).
It's pretty much for frontline people either tanks or people who are using the new hunters gear set that can afford to get close and keep the pressure because of the bonus, this is not so great for snipers and regular long range rifles builds. Anyhow there are two simbols indeed when you pick up a trophy and you get both bonus, the orange one is the one you get when picking up a trophy and is the fast higher bonus, the grey one with a bar underneath is the 5 min one that you stack over time
It's for run and gun builds. You get bonus armor to help mitigate the damage each time you pick up the trophies, so take some risks while it's up. The trophies count for both long and short term. I'm running a build now with unbreakable on chest and a shield as one of my skills. Never felt more confident running and gunning before.

Short one is an instant apply you get dmg boost, armor (blue), and +5 % skill efficiency based on your red / blue attributes / yellow atributes. It will disapear after 10 seconds.
The same trophy you collect, gives you long therm buff 300 seconds, each trophy gives you +1 dmg, 0,1 armor regen, +1 skill efficiency. Max stack is 30.
The hud icon fills with stacks so you know when you have max.

most builds can benefit from the memento from run and gun to snipers though your playstyle will dictate which buffs you will benefit from. a run and gun will immediately get the benefits from the armor wep damage ect wheras a sniper will benefit from the long term damage boost and skill augments (skill builds get a bit of both) so unless you are using another exotic and don't mind losing your backpack tallent the memento is a good allround buff for any build.
As xcel30 and paoloj6 say, it is more for close-quarters for mobile builds; I find it works very well with the Crusader shield, Lady Death, and Hunter's Fury set. The Crusader shield protects you as you run around at high speed thanks to kills with Lady Death so you can collect the trophies whilst Hunter's Fury reduces incoming damage by 20% from nearby enemies.
I have this question about the long term part.I see it feels up and at some point the icon goes into which looks like a skill cooldown.I have no idea when the 300sec starts.After the icon fills all the way with cooldown the icon disappears and never comes back unless I go to safe place.Does it mean the backpack is broken or its meant to be used for only 300sec at a time?
this is supposedly a visual bug when the grey arm icoin times out you will supposedly maintain the buff as long as you keep collecting the kill confirmed drops but it will expire if you enter a mission or fast travel to any of the offshore areas (NY, summtt ect.) or if you don't pick up a token for 300s (5mins) at which point you need to start collecting again, but for some reasin it does not regester the first token you collect after the buff expires.Originally Posted by GerBeGurGya Go to original post
