But that's the problem. You'd being playing the content you would have already played a million times over, except now, you'd be steamrolling through it, if you're not doing it right now. And, considering you're in a clan with a waiting list, I can only assume your clan is full of good players.

Fully optimized builds in already mastered content is strange. Which is why I say engagement would plummet, not increase, without new destinations and new items to chase.

But Division 2 isn't balanced where 1-3% missing, even on all six pieces, will make you unable to do content.

My clan HAD a waiting list. Now we have around 80 spots free, and of the around 300 members that are still on the clan, most rarely play, even the more hardcore players.

The majority of us have VERY GOOD builds, but rarely farm anymore because it's VERY hard to get improvments. A source of resources to optimize a build, would bring back a lot of players.

As to playing the same content over and over, it wouldn't be exactly the case, because most people rarely plays most of the content. Some of the missions would feel almost as new content for some people. I rarely play the "episode" missions, and they are very nice missions to play, but when I farmed for gear/weapons, those missions were not that good to farm, and now if I want to play them just for fun, I can't find a full group, even when there'a good target loot in there.

I know that, and that's exactly the point I'm trying to make.

When we get the builds as good as mines are, it doesn't make a big diference if I get that extra 3% or 4%, so it's not worth it to farm/grind anymore, because the odds of getting what I/we want are VERY small, so we stop playing.

But if there was a clear path to get those extra 4%, then I would grind for it.

It's like the exotics rerolls. Because I have A LOT of exotic componentes, and exotic caches to open, I keep rerolling them until I get full max rolls, because, why not…? I can get the resources to do it. I don't need to have maxed out exotics, I even rarely use exotics, but I prefer to have everything max out, because that's a human trate that I have.
