No companion App / Inventory Management

This has no doubt been covered in the past, but here is a snippet from Division 2 Redit.com the unofficial Division 2 website

No companion App / Inventory Management

No, it’s not in the plans. They really want to focus on the main game, the main experience, the post-launch content, and all of our resources need to be focused on that. We really want to stay very focused, so no companion app.
In terms of inventory management, there are lots of improvements compared to the first game.

I don't think there has ever been a greater need for a companion app as there is now! I loved the way it was implemented in Destiny 1, and it wasn't built by Bungie although it was able to use the Destiny API and eventually there were several running on any platform, I played Destiny on PS4, but used the app on my PC as the two screen are side by side. I'm sure there are fans of Division 2 that are more than able to produce a viable app utilising Division 2's API and I would like the Devs to reconsider their stance and give developers the nod that you would be open to ideas and willing to look at serious prototypes.

You talk about 'losing focus', but I just read from that statement:- not willing to cough up any finance to achieve it!

And in terms of inventory management I believe Division 2 is very weak and fragmented, I have items spread out over 4 characters and connected via a central vault, so in theory I could have to log out and back in again 8 times in total to search all my characters, this certainly needs improving in the least. And this is why an inventory app would very much help.

Also I would like there to be a doubling of inventory space and a template folder system where we could preload these templates with our gear and weapons in battle ready configurations all modded up and call them up at any time on any level 40 character.

A month or two back it was announced that Ubisoft/Massive were going to make an announcement about something us players have been calling for since the early days and it was going to be huge, I thought for a moment we might be getting that app, but it turned out to be some half baked idea to change the colour of our gear in some transmogrifying way that turned out to be pathetic and was just a little extra trim to add to our kit, talk about an anti climax it was as much an antithesis to the massive hype as it could be, and right here was some time, energy and money wasted on bling that could of been put to better use like the companion app!

Only getting band-aids until a new game or someone else takes over...until them you just get a backpack trophy or scratch your head at how come I can't even hold the amount of gear for all of my loadouts?

WHat i'd like is a second tab in your back pack or inventory.

stuff you pick up goes in to what i'll call a "junk" pouch. till you go through it and decide if its worth keeping or not.

then you have a equipment / loadout pouch where all the gear thats part of your loadouts or things you use are kept totally seperately.

would make management so much easier and cut down on times where you accidently dismantle something thats part of one of your loudouts..

or even simpler just have a normal inventory and a favorites one.. keep things seperate and more organised. again would reduce the annoyance of trying to find your modded gun in the midst of the 50 you've just picked up.

And would need a way to send gear to other characters as well... with out passing through the stash... Like you guys said, I got 4 characters and if I get new stuff, I need to check which one has not this modd or gear...
