That’s because plants are living and organic. They actually react to external stimuli, such as presence of water and sunlight. Plants can also be poisoned and healed. Compare with inorganic units like Thunderbird and Alien Drone.

Following your idea thunderbird can't do damage to drone, even it should increase it hp, cause thunderbird is giving electricity and charging drone. And coop, it is wooden, electricity can't do damage to wood, coop should be immune to thunderbird damage

Really? You ever see a lightning bolt hit a computer and just charge its battery? Or hit a tree and the tree take no damage? 'Nuff said.

actually a lightning bolt needs to hit the ground, so a flying unit shouldn't actually BE hit at all :P

A flying unit should be damaged twice by the lighting because not being in contact with the ground is fully runned by electricity before this can discharge. In the old pokemon flying units were weak to pikachu

Not saying that everything has to match reality, more just using his logic to refute his logic. It's just a game, it doesn't matter if things don't work exactly the way you would expect them to in reality. All these attempts to use real-world physics to try arguing in-game mechanics just don't work.

you mean stop trying to argue real-world physics in a game which defies them by accident :P
