Hunter's Fury with that vest I mentioned yesterday and a back pack with the talent that boosts weapon damage 15% in cover. The back pack is a waste though. All I do is strafe and melt NPCs away. lol
Got a lot of crit chance and weapon damage built in. Hard and Challenging seem easy enough so far.
Looking forward to a skill build set. What am I looking for? Hardwired? Anything else?

Skill builds are very diverse. If you want to use Hardwired, you'll be looking for abilities with longer cooldowns, like Seeker Mine + Sticky bomb.
But really all you need is Tier 6. Use Technician spec if you've got it unlocked. The new named Kard pistol with a skill tier helps also. That way you can also equip either 2 blues or two reds.
Popular skill builds:
Demolitionist with mortar turret. Takes some practice to aim, and groups hate it because it makes the screen shake(which makes it harder to aim). But for solo it's extremely strong.
Assault Turret/Striker drone is a bread and butter build. Get a weapon with "In Sync" and just mow everything down.
If you have the Vile Mask and 4pc Eclipse Protocol, you can use the Firestarter chem and literally anything else to melt entire rooms of enemies.
For groups and matchmaking, you can try using Eclipse Protocol with the Riot Foam chem launcher, and the blinder Firefly. Although generally that's a more advanced build since you need to know how they work, and when to use them. But if you get good at it, CC builds like that can make legendary runs fairly simple.
A lot of people advocate using Glass Canon on your chest for skill builds, because it applies to skill damage. It's up to you, because it is very dangerous. But if you're just sitting in the back and letting your skills do all the work, then there's very little risk.
Thanks. All my specializations are unlocked but I have only 3 points in Technician.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Right now, I have a fully maxed out Demolitionist with a Strike Drone and a Hive that repairs. Skill tier 6. All yellow build.
My AR and SMG are both In Sync. My drone and I each do about the same damage. Around 350K-420K DPS.
The drone runs for 5 minutes so I see it as more of a legit fearless team mate than a deployable skill. lol
The range on the Hive is big. Easy to keep me and the drone in it's repair bubble. If I pop the Hive to move, the cool down is 2 seconds. I don't even understand how that works. Might as well not have a cool down. The drone's cool down is about 16 seconds. Easily timed to have it all throughout a mission.
I'm taking a break to level up my non-boosted toon since all commendations are locked for the boosted toon.
I saved a strong level 30 skill build for the new toon. I will also have a killer level 40 build for Keener. I learned I can hit level 40 in NYC without killing the warlords so they'll have a brute coming for them next time. lol

Nice to see a familiar name from td1.
Yes , 3 piece hard-wired, 1 wyvern and 2 hana- u .
Each to their own, i run a wyvern chest with glass canon ( need to be careful as you'll take alot more damage), hana -u holster ( can be gloves or kneepad) and the named backpack ( force multiplier ) weapon with in sync talent.
Skills- striker drone and assault turret.
If in a group, have a another skill equipped player run an artificer hive for another boost to the skills doing damage.
Welcome to TD2. Skill builds are showing a good diversity with many ways to go in Division2. I run an Assault Turret/Striker Drone set up with the following....Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
Specialization: Technician for the Skill Damage perk.
Gear Pieces: 3 Hard Wired (Mask, Knees & Holster), 2 Hana-U (Chest & Gloves) & 1 Wyvern Wear (Backpack). Attributes are Skill Damage and Haste. Mod slots all Skill Duration for a duration of 285 seconds (4:45 minutes) for both skills.
Talents: I use Kinetic Momentum on the Chest. This gives me +30% Skill Damage when both skills are out (+15% x 2). I believe this is better than Glass Cannon's +25% damage but with +50% incoming damage. Backpack has Tech Support. I prefer the regular version over the perfect version because all you get is an extra 7 seconds with the perfect version that's on a gear brand that doesn't help your build. Of course there are other talent combos out there but these are the ones that work best for me so YMMV.
Weapons: SIG 556 AR, M-249 LMG and M1911 Pistol, all with In Sync. I tried named Rifle, The Harmony, with Perfectly In Sync but I'm not a fan of Rifles in the game. However if you like Rifles you'll want to get The Harmony as your Primary weapon.
I've taken this build in to Heroic level missions and have had no problems clearing the content. However I Haven't done Legendary as of yet so I don't know how it will perform there.
Quick easy build:
3 x Hard Wired: Gloves - Kneepads - Holster
2 x Hana-U
1 x Wyvern Wear
Talents: Tech Support or Combined Arms & Glass Cannon or Kinectic Momentum (I prrefer Tech Support & Glass Cannon myself)
All with Skill damage and Skill Haste
Weapon with In Sync
Turret & Drone with decent mods
Put the turret down, throw out the drone and lie back and cut your toe nails.
Dumb question but, how do I earn points for the specializations?Originally Posted by Zathras23 Go to original post
Not a dumb question at all.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
To earn points for a specialization tree, just activate the specialization and play with it active, and that earns you points for that specialization. Pretty much the same method as standard skill trees for a lot of MMO games. Go to the specialization counter in the BOO (Base of Operations) (You can do this in either White House or Haven) and select the specialization, then looking at the menu at the bottom press the key to activate the specialization. On PC I believe it is "F" by default.
Also, bear in mind you ONLY need to do this ONCE as long as you save a loadout with that specialization. Out in the field, specializations are tied to loadouts, so if you have Technician assigned to that loadout, then switching to that loadout will activate technician on that loadout when you switch to it.
Hopefully I worded that right ... the night's getting long here LOL.
