    It looks like it is a lot of fun!

    It also is a good way for anyone to be able to run around and fight a long time in armour without ever working up a sweat.

    +1 it is a lot of fun

    in fact I'm using an offline mod to the native module called, Custom Commander, and I added literally tons of new items, I "borrowed" from other mod like, 1257 and blood&steel

    I mean, why doesn't someone with cash to form a developer studio merges this with oblivion

    result = epic.

    ==EDIT==

    added Some screenies

    fav quotes:
    1. I will drink from your skull
    2. Time to Die

    Still waiting for the following mods:
    1. Coconuts
    2. Horses with friggin lasers

    Coconuts mod. That would have African Sparrows then?

    What is Custom Commander? One peeve I've got is the always start the battles with a cluster-f_ck charge. I'd really like some options on formations -before- the gold rush act. Sure it's nice they let you set up custom groups but the enemy aren't even in sight and it's every man for himself.

    I read somewhere that you should be able to look at a spot on the ground and send a formation to it but haven't seen it again.

    How did you manage to get the line abreast formations? What am I doing wrong?

    Custom Commander is a native module variant that add some nice features including, Stand by Orders at the beginning of the battle amongst other things

    linky

    And as you said, it is handy that you can make groups. it works like this, MOST of the times, the enemy charges you as soon as the battle begins, I always have a shock cavalry group that I order to charge to give time to make my battle formations, some other times, the enemy moves slowly over the field allowing for really cool and epic battles

    You can do that by selecting a group and press and hold F1, and move the marker flag to the desired position. In that way you're actually ordering them to move to that position and hold it, once there, you cand change your orders accordingly, I always do this for my archers

    I just told the whole army to "follow me" F1,F2, then to cluster, F2,F4 I think CC mod, is managing my formations for me

    ==EDIT==

    thing is there are a lot of full convertion mods to MB:W, but you need to see CC as a more user friendly native module and one you can add items packs

    I just reccomend turning the music off and play the game while listening to the OST, of 13th warrior, Kingdom of Heaven, Conan, Excalibur and why not, MP:HG (it's awesome ride to battle with the HG theme in the background)

    I found one of those metal spiked ball weapons and a battle axe at a roadside rubbish chuck out about 30 yrs ago.
    I recently re discovered them in the workshop and will clean them up.
    Would like a Katana for brush cutting and chopping down lantana and similar weeds on the property

    Waffen.. my jaw just drops!

    Maybe some time can yell Fall In and have the other D&C commands actually work. What is Parade Ground now was not so far back in history the actual battlefield words of command, along with others I never heard in drill of course like Aim and Fire.

    I have music off just because it would put some load on my poor near-obsolete CPU!

    I only got activation key late on Friday and already my first mod. Awwwwwwwww!

    how did you get it to run DX7, seems DX9 as good as it looks puts quite a dent in the performance.

    I also got my horse to jump a fence, but i haven't been able to do it again.

    Probably played 10 minutes with it, but haven't figured out the DX thing yet.

    When you first start the game hit Configure (instead of Play...Warband) and then choose Video. Which DirectX to use is in a drop-down menu near the top.

    I haven't tried fence jumping. I have tried jumping on enemies in combat and it's easier than timing a sword swing.

    Supposedly there are mods for WW2 soldiers complete with guns and so forth, and the requisite Lord of the Rings mods. I haven't tried any of them though.
