20% is just horrible design. It should also be an automatic drop when you kill a named Lieutenant.

Ran challenging floors 3 times, no drop. Got bored, deconstructed rainbow and low rolled gears and logged out.
Yes, 3 times may not be a lot. But it was about 7-8 hours gameplay solo. For what? Absolutely feck all.

Best I've done so far is about floor 73 maybe a few more solo. I have teams I can play with, but wanted to try the solo experience first. Guess what Massive? It doesn't work.
Back on topic. 20% is great if like someone above you get lucky rng and think the game is all wonderful. But for the masses, it's a boring grind.

Guess I should be glad I don't care about that exotic thing or the game mode at all. Nice to not have to deal with any of that.

lol, I have the same: I got the parts of hard, challenging and heroic, but the normal wont drop and it`s quite boring to play it over and over again.

If you're so determined to get parts join farming groups otherwise just play the game at your own pace and hope that rngesus grants you the components.

The devs have screwed this game over too much already by bowing down to those who want everything handed on a silver platter.
They don't hand out their stuff easily. One of the best exotics and gear sets are locked to the raid. Weapons and named grear locked to DZ. Exotic chest (with a long aftermath project) locked to the Summit. Stop being such a fool.

Shouldn't really be a problem if the game actually drops these pieces at the 20% chance rate. If the chance truly is 20%, then if one does 100 floors, one should end up with 20 successes, e.g. 20 of these parts. If I recall, isn't the number needed 5?

So if one gets to the top and doesn't have all 5 pieces, then the drop rate doesn't live up to the 20%. Not even close.

Now, I suppose some will chime in with mathematical probability and statistics laws and theories.... yeah that was part of my Math degree too.

But let's consider the roll of a die. 6 sides, so the chance of getting a 1 is 1 in 6, right? So one should not expect to roll the die 6 times and see a 1. But if one rolls that die 30 times and still never sees a 1 -- that is a loaded die or something else is at play.

So if the designed chance truly is 20%, and one makes it to the top of the Summit without getting 5 of these drops, then that isn't actually delivering a 20% drop chance.

That said, my mistake was starting on floor 51. Lol.

If someone have kill hunters x3 project for this exotic chest there is a easy way
when you have manhunt kill SHADE always before boss come out (hunter show up)hunter always run when he have small HP
change world on normal use foam and kill hunter (easy 30 shots from AR) - then kill yourself and repeat , you can farm this hunter all time

I think you forgot about something in your equation:
You only can get the exotic parts from those special loot chests, and this chests only occur every third floor. You assumed you have a chance to get them at each of the 100 floors...also you need 5 pieces, but you only can get each of this pieces in the floors of the respective difficulty.

Do you really want to go down that route and make yourself look stupid? "Easily" lmao. Kinda proves my whole point towards casual players wanting everything handed to them on a plate with little to no effort.
