[PC] War Map With DS4 Controller After UI Update

I like to play For Honor with a DS4 controller on PC. Everything was working fine until the big UI update.

Basically, I can't navigate the war map with my controller any more. The thumb sticks and D-pad don't do anything while looking at the war map. The war map as in the place where you put soldiers after each match.

I can still navigate the map using my mouse and keyboard but it's a little annoying to have to put my controller down after every match.

Tested via USB connection and via Bluetooth. I haven't tried using an xinput device yet.

    Hello SirenBrink,

Sorry to hear that you are unable to use your Dualshock at the moment.

Have you tried reinstalling your game by any chance? If there are any corrupted files, reinstalling it fully should fix the issue. Many thanks and apologies for any inconvenience caused by this. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

I tried validating the game files via Steam. I'm not in a good position to reinstall the game but I doubt i would help.

Same here. But I use a PS1 controller over steam and a ps4 controller on PC. Broken since season release. Mouse navigation only to deploy troops. Navigation from battle field to battle field works (as in duels to battle or to breach) but entering and navigating between the different map sectors to your banner or troops is not possible atm with a controller.

Update: Xinput doesn't work either. Neither does Steam Controller. I also tried restoring control defaults.

To clarify, the controller works fine everywhere except in the war map, for deploying troops.

    Hey SirenBrink,

Do you have anything plugged into your PC that could be causing a conflict with the controller?
