The Division 2 is a Great Value for the $$$

People have been bashing Ubi recently over the cost of continuing to provide fresh content to play. If anyone did a cost analysis of the game since day 1, it is still a better value than other games out there.

Take for instance the Madden franchise. EA releases a new game every calendar year while basically keeping the base game the same. Yet they demand $60 per year to purchase. What additional content do you get? Updated rosters? Lame! I bet if you tried to matchmake on Madden 2017 you'd be sitting there listening to crickets.

NBA2K is even worse. Not only do they charge full price every year for the game, in game purchases are the most predatory of any game out there. If you want to be competitive online, you have to purchase in game currency to buy the players you want on your roster.

I bought TD2 Ultimate for $100, then added WONY for $20 and 3 seasons of DLC for $30 total. My out of pocket for this game currently runs $150 for 3 years for a game with fresh stuff (albeit buggy) compared to paying over $180 for 3 years of Madden with no additional content and lame game modes nobody plays.

The difference being is i still play TD2 while my older versions of Madden and NBA2K collect dust,

If Division gamers were really interested or passionate about the game, they wouldn't bat an eyelash spending a little extra money on a game that continues to challenge and entertain the fan base.

So, if you're lvl 30, plunk down the cost of a Frappuccino and keep up with the community. We would love to have you.

Well I have had my moneys worth out of the division 2. It's just a shame that I am finding the new content pretty boring. It's as if they are out of new ideas and are just recycling old ones. And then you have Division 1 that has actually got better with age, I wish they could do the same with Division 2.

Comparing apples and oranges... and that only counts what? I bought the base game +WLoNY +Season Passes.... Compared to the content you get from Warframe? Destiny2? Borderlands3? If they want to keep selling the game, and season passes... They need content to match.

I'm with you... I think people evaluate game value all wrong. They pay $10 for two hours of entertainment to see a movie (with the popcorn and soda DLC costing extra).. A video game costing $60.00 is 6 times the price so anything more than 12 hours is of equal value in terms of cost of entertainment per hour.

There is obviously WAY more than twelve hours of entertainment in a video game but people feel entitled to more.. Demanding DLCs for free, complaining about tactics that slow down game play and skipping content (to get to end game) and then complaining that there isn't enough content.

I really think Summit suffered from this attitude... It was rushed to market to prevent a mass exodus of the game and came buggy as hell. It's a catch 22 because development costs money and people demand more development without wanting to pay for it, feeling entitled to it because they spent their original 60.00... But those same people wouldn't demand the Sequal to a movie be given to them for free "why should I have to pay for Avenger Infinity War... I already paid for Avenger End Game!!?"

Div2 is on sale at the moment less than $4. Definitely worth it.
