Just to clarify, your remote was working correctly, but after subscribing, the remote now only lets you navigate menus, but it does not register your movements in the dance?
I have sent this to our QA team to investigate with the information you provided us, I will do my best to update you when I hear back, hopefully we can provide some troubleshooting steps specifically for your Apple TV and remote.

Correct. But now my monthly subscription is almost finished and I haven’t had to opportunity to play it correctly.

Just Dance Now on AppleTV-controller not functioning
My daughter has been subscribed for over a year, and is now at level 109. Recently the controller stopped working while dancing. The controller works for everything else, it only fails to work while she dances. Was there possibly an update this month that impacted the movement tracking?

This happens to me when I will accidentally turn my phone to sleep. But I don't have apple, just saying that happens to me too.

Has there been a resolution
We are having the same issues! However just invested in a year subscription.... had been pleased to be able to access through applets...but now neither remote or iPhone are registering movement!....what is solution please

New Apple TV 4K (not registering moves)
Hi Folks,
I have the latest and greatest apple TV with the new siri remote just released a few weeks ago.
I downloaded JustDance Now app and subscribed to VIP.
None of the moves register in JustDance when using the apple remote, nor the iPhone remote. I have tried force quitting the app, restarting the apple tv, uninstalling/reinstalling the app ane nothing works.
The only workaround that has somewhat succeeded is downloading the JustDance Now app on an iPhone and joining a dance room initiating using the Apple TV. Those moves register find using the phone and the second player. Not ideal.
Any suggestions?

Ok, this was driving me crazy but I finally fixed it. Here is what I did:
1. Confirmed AppleTV 4k is updated to current version (14.6 at this writing)
2. Powered Apple TV Off by disconnecting from power source > waited 30 seconds
3. Powered on > resolved
The issue seems to be resolved. I've also got the Apple TV app on my iPhone and it is working with my iPhone again too. Hope this helps!

Uh, never mind, spoke too soon. It 'acts' like it is recognizing my remote, but it registers about 1 out of 5 moves. On each bonus move I get an X indicating it isn't registering at all. So since I'm still having issues, I'll add the rest of my troubleshooting I tried:
1. deleted Just Dance and reinstalled (causing me to lose all my levels) > not resolved
2. restarted iPhone and Apple TV
3. tried iPhone and Apple TV remote, neither working as expected
4. removed VPN from iPhone to rule that out as an issue
5. confirmed Apple TV has a strong wifi connection
6. ensured both Apple TV and iPhone are up to date.
Still having the issue. By the way, when I redownloaded the Just Dance Now app for my Apple TV4k running 14.6 the instructions show, "Apple TV Remote (1st Gen)
Required.
