Am I the only one who gets frustrated by the required "key-spamming" to survive animal attacks/etc?
Having to repeatedly hit a key (or several) at high speed just to survive an encounter seems ridiculous, not to mention the stress on the fingers (hello Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) and keyboard.
On top of that, half the time it doesn't work and I die anyway. In "Freedom Cry" I couldn't free most of the slaves on the sinking ship because of this ridiculousness.
It's got to the point that when these encounters happen, if it feels pointless, I just let them kill me, then abort the memory, and move on to something else (or another game).
This frustrating feature feels like a left-over mechanic from very old games.
How do players deal with this? Create a macro or something (would that even work)?
