To be honest I loved this game so much I risked being "Devil's Advocate" a lot on these forums, even though it would get me flamed for supposedly being a "fan boy" even though I had my own list of complaints. But TU11 ... I wanted to no end to be surprised at how awesome it could have been. I was excited for transmog, and excited for the Summit. But a lot of how they did this update actually has me ready to take a break.
They said they would fix rainbow loot, then a VERY small minority of players spammed the forums with their craziness and convinced the devs to completely drop the entire thing, even though triple color pieces have no place in any end-game content (anyone who IS running such a setup IS getting carried by their teammates ... period).
They said we'd be getting resistance mods increased to 20%, then reverted that entirely due to PvPers crying out. Yet ANOTHER example of laziness, because they COULD have coded it to be 20% in PvE areas and have the modifier for 10% in DZ areas. This is yet another example of why I hate when developers do not separate PvP from PvE in games.
The Summit has difficulty levels for each area, but I think the ENTIRE tower should have ben at LEAST Heroic at a minimum, if not Legendary. ANY player who has progressed far enough in the game to gain access to the Summit has good enough gear to tackle such content. At the very least they should have allowed us to bump the MINIMUM difficulty UP if we so chose, but keep the required difficulties on the upper floors as a requirement to progress to floor 100.
The only thing they said they would do that I DID notice was loot QUALITY. I dropped three triple god-rolled weapons today, including the new named shotgun (six something?) with damage to armor and crit hit chance on it. It dropped while I was in the tower but I believe it came from a season level up.
So, yeah, even though I want to continue loving this game well enough to defend it at times, it looks like TU11 finally broke me to the point I won't be playing much any more. It'll take some seriously cool content to get me going again.
