Last time I was there I had a literal progress-halting bug where open doorways to reach objectives were invisible force fields.

    Haven't been back since.

I don't know. Summit is boring as all hell. But I don't think it's a complete failure.

But then again, I seem to lead some sort of charmed life in Division 2. The bugs I encounter are almost never as severe as other people describe.

Although I did have a redbar Black Tusk in an invaded mission go straight up immune to damage for like 10 seconds today..... that was super weird. It was just that one dude. All the rest got shot like normal.

but... if kenly had target loot i would prefer it over the summit.

The devs know 100% that if they introduce targeted loot like the summit has, the summit will be forgotten for good by a vast majority if not all of the playerbase.

That is not a good sign that the only reason players go into the summit is because it's the best place to farm.

1 - utterly tedious, mind numbingly easy, I physically cannot bring myself to play it, even with the optimisation cache rewards

Its fine... if you are looking for farm a specific gear category.

And that's where the good things end probably. It's a bad place to farm xp and while you get loads of targeted stuff to collect, they are so bad quality you instantly pick them up as junk - even good pieces because of muscle memory - and that says a lot of the whole concept of the summit and the loot quality.
