This happens to me on console. I can't switch weapons, or do anything besides move around and shoot. After pressing LB on the drone to activate, this problem occurs. It went away in like 60 seconds of moving for me.

It works to me even in combination with AI teammates, managed to take down 6 hostiles with a simple push of a button

It did sound that his reply was directed at you, but I believe he was scoffing at the crap we have to do in this game just to be able to play it. Thank you for your work-around...

This is an old bug from launch that looks like it's back again. And yes the only way to fix it in game is to have your character fall off of something.

This bug was fixed but came back whenever you used your binos. It seems like this bug is just baked into the game. I dont think it can ever be removed. 😂
