I like sniping i fps games.. but i have always found facry games lacklusting because its not fun at all. Can you plz maybe look to other games that make that experience much better then yours. For example Escape from Tarkov (sight) and the slowmotion kills from sniper ghost warrior.
Not directly related to sniping, but one suggestion I've had is that they introduce more interesting tonics/ buffs to the game, one that would be super cool would be a slow-mo effect syringe. I'd use that a heck of a lot more than I used any of the ones they've had in the last few games, and that could certainly be used to great benefit when sniping. I'm not much of a sniper myself, prefer medium to close range combat and use a bow in lieu of a sniper. Another thing I've been saying they should do though that could also add to a more satisfying sniping experience is to turn up the gore factor in the game. Sniping would be a lot more satisfying if you popped a head like in Gears of War when you landed a nice dome shot, haha...
In ideal, upgrading a sniper we should upgrade all these abilities and characteristics.
In real life, missing one of them may cost the sniper his life or lead to the disruption of the military operation, lead to casualties.
Not everyone can be a sniper.
You should posses many abilities, skills and knowledge.
From iron health and perfect eyesight to knowledge of bullet behavior in the air, in one or another wind direction.
You should train a lot to shoot the sun halo.
And to shoot against the sun, (You can't use any glasses or lenses. It may give glare, glitter or shine.)
Something may happen with optics or communication engineering - you should be a good expert in technology.
You should have a good visual memory and sense of direction. Constantly train it.
Ability to navigate in unfamililiar terrain.
You should have ability to sit or to lie still for many hours.
Keep the target at gunpoint for three days without stopping.
The newcomer sits at the window and must look at the object outside the window for 12 hours, without taking his eyes off for a second.
If you can't do that - "Sorry! You're not right for us!"
He can be woken up in the middle of the night, run out into the field and shoot an unknown person in the distance.
Calmly..... without questions.
Any nervousness, confusion or "Who is it?" and ......."Sorry! You're not right for us!"
Hot-tempered person can't be a sniper.
Irritable or mentaly unstable persons can't be snipers.
Sniper should be always calm. Whatever happens.
Sniper should have ice in his veins.
They look like simple people.
Indistinguishable in the crowd.
But a sniper shot can change History.
That's why in the military they're called - "Gods of War".
So, upgrading a sniper in the game should be interesting process.
Taking into account, if not all, but many aspects.
a good sniper knows how to hold the rifle steady even when standing. the last few games I was so disappointed by the scope swaying all over the place while aiming, an example of creating a worse gameplay mechanic to what already existed. the m1903 in fc2 was deadly and accurate, i really liked how it was a one shot kill in regular play and either a one shot hesdshot kill or a 2 shot body kill in hardcore mode.
Everyone is busy with Cyberpunk now .....
For me, Far Cry shooting mechanics is much better.
By the way, it was awful in GTA5 and RDR2 as well.
Definitely, shooting is not Rockstar's strong point.

At least in the first half of the game.
We are simple guy.....who, step by step, becomes more experienced.
From simple guy to Rambo.
We're not playing as special forces' soldier or in "Sniper Elite" type game.
It is very natural that our scope is swaying, hands are trembling and forehead is sweating.
It must be so!
But step be step our sniper experience is increasing.
Scope is swaying less.
"Scope swaing" should be upgradable.
With something like "Cool Hand" perk.
With the time it should sway less and less.
So with one shot kill.
In the game should be a ballance.
Challenge - overcoming challenge.
Like the stairs.
We're overcoming one challenge, one step - than next step appears - new challenge.
Our hand is cool and scope is not swaying, we're masters of one shot kill now.....but ooops! Our enemies are in helmets now.
Process of "taking slaps, of being punched" is very important.
Process of suffering.
You see a puzzle that should be solved. You see a challenge. You're suffering.
Than you overcome that challenge.
You feel Joy!
That feeling of Joy is very important for the game.
Without suffering, without challenge, there will be no Joy.
They're too sides of one coin.
Challenge, suffering - overcoming - JOY!
But Joy won't last long.
Soon you'll fed up with it.
Soon, new challenge is needed, new suffering.
How long should last that "soon"???
It's also a question.
Because we should enjoy our superiority as well.
We should enjoy "one shot kill" ..... for some time......before "enemies in helmets" will appear.
"Enemies in helmets" should appear in the right moment.
When our joy is about starting fade.
They shouldn't appear too early or too late.
Challenge - overcoming that challenge + enjoying for some time our "new force" - new challenge (at a higher level).
It shouldn't be only challenge and challenge without enjoying for some time our "new force".
So.... "scope swaying" is very natural.
It should sway in the game even if it's not swaying in real life.
That swaying should be overcome by us.
"Swaying" (and other difficulties) is done for us to make the game more interesting.
If you have cool hand from the beginning.....if you're super-sniper and super-Rambo from the beginning .....How long you will enjoy such game?!
You're killing everyone left and right...You'll tired of it very soon.
But when you overcome difficulties, step by step, when you've been slapped and humiliated, and now you coming back for revenge and you take revenge on abusers.....incredible joy!
Let the gamers enjoy for a while that joy.
Let them take revenge on former abusers.
But not long.
Let them feel that sweet taste.
But not oversaturate them. Leave them a bit hungry.
.....for a new lunch of joy later.
Any gun shouldn't sway as if we're drunk.
But every gun should have its pluses and minuses!
The more effective and deadly our gun, the easier it makes our walkthrough - the more minuses it should have.
So with the sniper rifle.
It shouldn't be a cheating weapon.
Sniper rifle shouldn't be a perfect weapon. That one weapon that will be enough to walk through the game.
Gamers should try to use different weapons, depending on the situation.
Gamers should think!
But not running through the whole game with one weapon."I like it, and will use only this."
Developers should put spikes in their wheels by putting them in the situation when using sniper rifle, for example, will have sensitive disadvantageous.
We should think what weapon and tactics to use.
Developers should help gamers to experience the game in its full.
To experience it as it was planned by developers. Initially.
But at the same time - give freedom.
I think, Far Cry shouldn't be a silly shooter.
Run and shoot, run and shoot.
Far Cry should make you think!
Not only about story, but even in shooting.
By the way....
Developers, this shouldn't happen with Far Cry 6!
I mean bad optimization and bugs.
Moreover, there are no old people in the streets of Night City.
There are playing children, day and night.
But no old people.
It makes the city rather unrealistic.
May be according to story they exterminated them, I don't know.
The point is that absence of old people catches the eye.
There should be young people, children and old people in the streets of Esperanza.
To make it more immersive.
And interface is rather complicated with hurting eyes, irritating red colors.
Such colors may be good for Cyberpunk style ....but in Far Cry they should be pleasant, with simple and intuitively understandable interface.
There are many complicated things in the game.
I think in Far Cry everything should be simple and clear.
According to - "Genius lies in simplicity".
There are some old people in Cyberpunk like the old woman that gives you some quests. I think Night City is too dangerous for old people to be outside tho.
Im not against old people, but in gaming its like the weather forecasters, you rarely see an old woman presenting the news or the weather, nearly always its some girl in her 20s.
Yes, I've found a few.
But the first impression was - no old people at all.
I understand if it was night. But it was midday.
In games about future, sci-fi games, such abscence can be explained easily by story - science, medicine, is developing and people are not getting old now or life is so hard that they just can't survive to see old days. Or society is just getting rid of them as dead weight.
But we're discussing another game with a view to Far Cry.
And such abscence of old people will break immersion in Far Cry 6.
Anton got rid of old people as extra ballast on the economy?
Such present day cruelty will make him implausible and grotesque. (Even in blockade)
Esperanza should be Alive!
With people of all ages.
(We should respect old people. We'll be also old someday. If we're lucky, of course.
Today there is a tendency to lack of respect of old people.
Old people are more respected in the East today.)
City - is always a challenge.
NPC......
How will they behave? How will they react?
They shouldn't react all the same way.
Among them should be aggressive people, cowards and neutral.(trying to prevent and escape violence).
Just look how do they react differently in somewhat similar games.
Just look how GTA 5 NPC react more alive and realistic in comparison with Cyberpunk 2077!
But there are 8 years between them!
Let's hope Esparanza will be alive and interesting city to play in.
