Warriors 2.0 would focus on allowing more customization without cutting anyone's favorite weapons and fighting styles. The TL;DR? Allow for cross weapon usage. Example: Warden using Warmonger's move set and weapon.

I shall start with the restrictions as thats the part that needs to be known.
Restrictions
-Heavy Type Characters cannot use Assassin Weapons and Fighting Styles
-Vanguards cannot use Hybrid weapons and Fighting Styles
-Assassins cannot use Heavy Weapons and Fighting Styles
-Hybrid Cannot use Vanguard Weapons and Fighting Styles
-Some weapons and fighting styles will remain with their respective character or classification. Shugoki being the clear one here due to it being a very heavy style, and Nobushi's style and weapon will remain for Female Warriors only due to it being rather nimble, also do you want to see a Shugoki with Nobushi moves? I dont.

Note: Some exceptions can be made while within faction, like Lawbringer can use Warden and Warmonger styles, but No exceptions for assassins and heavies. You dont want a Shugoki rolling around with Peacekeeper speeds.

Now onto the fun bits, I will be using Black Prior as the example character form here on in.

Executions
Due to most execution mo-caps already in possession, this would not require new Mo-Caps for majority if not all executions. Like a BP using Cent weapon and fighting style, utilizing the Roman Uppercut Execution.

Identifying Fighting Style
Well this one requires you to just have memory that a BP using Lawbringer's Halberd will just be fighting like a Lawbringer. Simply looking at their weapon will tell you what to expect.

Weapons X character can use.
Black prior would be able to utilize the following
-Warden
-Centurion
-Conquer
-Lawbringer
-Warmonger
-Raider
-Highlander
-Jormungandr (maybe)
-Warlord (man i just realized you guys use war alot)
-Kensei(maybe)
-Hitokiri
-Aramusha
-Tiandi
-Jiang Jun
-Zhanhu
This list tells you all that a BP can use aside from him/herself. The maybes are there due to more thought being needed for those.

Any other changes?
Yes actually. Lets go over what each classification will bring with it.

Vanguard
Vanguards will be able to do a form of a bash now with their arm, allowing for more mix ups. Raider would straight up punch a fool, Kensei will back hand, Warmonger can keep her uppercut swipe, and Tiandi can keep his palm and MAYBE kick.

Heavy
Heavy characters will retain access to some sort of all guard state, be it a maintained full block for a temporary reflex guard like Aramusha's.

Assassin
Assassins will maintain deflects regardless of weapon. This to allow them to remain nimble and on their toes while not improving or reducing their health.

Hybrid
Hybrids will all have an action to knock down their opponents, being from an unblockable grab which is lifted from Highlander and given to every Hybrid if they arent using a weapon and fighting style that has a knock down built in. Nobushi will be excluded for the grab and be given a leg sweep akin to Hitokiri's.


Why would/should this be put in?
Well for one it allows Ubisoft to still maintain lockdown without having to deal with more Mo-Capping, which keeps their employees safe. Also this can be altered to allow/deny some characters certain weapons and allow for more customization.
