    The audio cut out and game freeze bug is still happening after the new season update

    I have had the game installed on both my internal and the external hard drive and have experienced the problem on both but all my other games run smoothly and with no issues. I have also played on a different Xbox Console and experienced the same issue.

    I was last affected by this issue on Saturday November 7th 2020.

    My game can have the audio cut out and crash at random unpredictable times throughout a game of Rainbow Six Siege; it mostly cuts out and crashes however after a sequence of loud audio noises happen all at once in game e.g. multiple walls being reinforced at the same time as someone making a rotation on another wall with an impact grenade. This needs to be looked into in more depth by Ubisoft and fixed ASAP as its making the game unplayable for me and other players.
    I had hoped for the audio cut out and game freeze bug to have been fixed after the new season update for Xbox, however in my first ranked game of the season it happened to me and cost me the game win and gave me an abandon sanction; as it would not allow me to load back into the ranked game after I reset my frozen game. This is really making me think twice about wasting my time playing Siege this season if Ubisoft dont address this bug which ruins my own and others experience playing Siege. Please can someone from Ubisoft report that this bug is still an issue as it needs to be fixed ASAP. Thank you.

I have forfeited and been suspended A LOT from ranked matches because of this issue. I have never experienced this problem prior to the update and I have been playing since the game came out. I have reinstalled the game 3 times, cache cleared, reset my OS for games and apps data, tried with and without disk, moved my game files to external and internal storage and tried playing on a different account. I am currently using the Xbox One X and the game worked beforehand with this Xbox and on the regular Xbox One. I cant think of any other possible solution to fix this issue. I have stopped playing the game entirely due to this problem. This bug also impacts other players in my matches when i wait between rounds (when choosing operators). If I dont reset the game, everybody currently in the match will be forced to wait until I restart my game. This bug has not been a problem for me when playing Terrorist Hunt.

    Same here. Had it happen 2 times today alone, one of which resulted in a suspension. One sound loss started after getting on defender drones, the other without warning. Game just loses sound then freezes up.

    Can confirm that amaze crashes regularly, played with him. He also stays visible and looks like he's lagging out as his game crashes.

    Same thing with me - game audio cuts out, game then freezes

    I've been encountering this for the past 3 weeks now. It seems to get worse as time goes on. I've put in for a support claim with Ubisoft and haven't heard anything back.

    Ubisoft id: xalfguyx
    Playing on Xbox One S
    game installed on internal hard drive
    last affected yesterday and the day before that and the day before that and the day before that and so on for the past 3 weeks
    What was I doing when it cut out and froze --- everything. It happens so much it doesn't even matter. Load in screen to start, defending, attacking, droning, reinforcing, etc.. happens all the time.

    When it happens in load in screen, the game won't start until I force quit the game (this is when I'm frozen).

    I have a recent recording of when it happened, clearly showing the issue. I can send it to you to review, where do I send it?. Any help please. I've been playing this game for 3 years and its never done this before.

    O jogo fica sem som e congela

    O meu problema o mesmo, eu t tomando ban de partidas que eu ganho ou perco por que no raund decisivo eu acabo caindo por causa desse bug, t perdendo ponto e sanidade mental com isso, j fiz todas as alternativas propostas pelo suporte, por favor faam algo a respeito e se possvel me devolvam os pontos ou tirem os bans na minha conta

    This audio bug / game freeze issue persists! What's going on - How can this be fixed?

    The issue persists. Game audio still goes out and 20-30 seconds later the game freezes. Still an on going issue, every time I play.


    The following link at :56 seconds in is when game audio goes out. At 1:18 I cancelled match making because it was frozen.

    This following link @ :42 seconds game audio goes out. I stayed in load lobby to see what would happen.
    My screen froze in game. The gamer MikeWakachowski Xbox messaged me to just leave at this point taking forever.
    Thats when I force quit Rainbow Six: Siege.

    I've tried all suggestions except trying my game disc on another Xbox - this just isn't possible for me to try. I know no one near me with an Xbox or that plays Rainbow Six: Siege.

    Is everyone else in this thread still having the same problem still? If not - what worked?
