[Crash/Freeze][XB1] Game audio cuts out and then the game freezes / crashes | Forums

I've still got this problem. Had it since Shadow Legacy started and basically stopped playing a month ago because I was getting frustrated crashing out every game. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps and no luck fixing the problem. Stumbled onto this thread and now I'm hopeful because at least the devs know about the problem.

Hello.

-In terms of Ubisoft ID I believe it's just TomJH.
-I play on Xbox
-I've tried having the game installed both internally and externally and can replicate the issue on either format. It is currently installed externally.
-This issue last affected me on 07/11/2020 (7th Nov)
-The only common factor in my audio cutting out tends to be if their is an explosion nearby i.e. an impact grenade blowing a whole in a wall, Zofia or Ash using their launchers or Oryx bursting through a wall. I crashed three times on the day in question. The first I ran through a wall as Oryx and the sound cut out. The second the explosion from a grenade thrown by a teammate went off near me followed by the sound cutting out. The third time the sound cut out when Zofia opened a wall next to me with her launcher. These examples could all just be bad timing but my sound nearly always seems to cut out when a wall or hatch gets destroyed very close to me or an explosion lands close to me.

After reinstalling the game and clearing the cache, me and a buddy went into custom games to send Siege through the ringer to see if the Audio cut out/ game freeze problem would happen again. We tried every hard breach, soft breach, grenades, ash, zofia, etc and was fine. About 3 custom matches later, we choose gridlock/maestro and starting throwing her ability on hatches and shooting the hatches out with maestros shotgun pistol and the audio cut out and game froze. After this game it would perform audio glitch/freeze every match during any occurence and now the game is once again unplayable as it has been since the Shadow Legacy update.

-What platform are you playing on?
-What are you doing when the game crashes?
-Do you have the game saved on your internal or external hard drive?
-Does the games audio cut out for a certain amount of time before the game crashes?
-Do you have any special version of your device and how old is it?
-When did this crash last affect you? (Exact date if poss.)

I play on xbox
I can be doing anything when It happens
I have had in on internal and external
Around 20 seconds
It happened last about 20 mins ago in my last game
And my console is only afew years old

The glitch is still happening as of Monday 23rd November 2020. This needs to be looked into and fixed ASAP please.

Hello! Really happy and really sad that this page exists. I also suffer from the Crash/Freeze problem on Xbox 1. I’ve literally quit playing R6 for months because of this. I came back, tried all the steps again and still have this problem. Really sucks, I hope there is a fix at some point.

Update: Someone pointed it out earlier in this thread that explosions cause the problem and that’s also what I’ve found. I was rook playing defense, threw my impact and instantly after breaking the wall, noise cut out and the freeze came. Again while defending an ash shot her ash charge next to me, soon as it blew up, my audio cut out and fam froze. Same thing happened again but someone using Zofia. Explosions are definitely the reason this keeps happening and it sucks!
