Didn't happen for me. Uplay redownloaded the whole game. Verified through Task Manager.Originally Posted by Megathrodrin Go to original post
there's nothing stopping you getting around it with a new account. i'd say go try a new account and then, if you're really bothered by 2 accounts, inform epic/ubisoft and tell them you want to transfer the ownership to your original account..... pain in the arse i know. i've had to do it multipl times with services like Origin, so i can only guess it's possible for uplay/epic.
it's advice, not a solution. either way, you might have access to the game... don't stop just cos they screwed up. 10 minutes, maybe 15 and you'll be sorted in no time for having access. the fiddly stuff might not even be worth it if you dislike the game. i'd give it a go dude. if you see this at all..... i'm one of the few having space issues and multiple large downloads of the same game. but my ubisoft 2nd download is only 11gb, which confuses me.... so many people have varying space requirements and that kinda worries me.

Thanks for sharing this! Hopefully it helps other players encountering the same issue.
It is basically Extracting the WD2 that you downloaded from EPG, on the Download bar you just need to put the WD2 downloaded file from EPG and the UPlay will Extract it i really doesnt use any Internet
this is just a simple Example :
on EPG i download it here D:\Games\EPG\Watchdogs2
when you launch WD2 from EPG UPlay will pop up and ask you to download again right ? actually UPlay is trying to Extract the downloaded package
so when ur on the UPlay download pop up, make sure you put it as the same directory as you download it from the EPG.
hope this helps and hope u Understand'sGLHF
