Prince of Persia (2008) Micro Stutter

With the announcement of the PoP:SoT remaster, I decided to catch up on the PoP games that I never played (especially when they're on sale!). After figuring out where to find the hidden launcher for the graphical settings, I was able to start playing it properly. For the most part, it looks great on the highest settings and plays smoothly on a modern PC, aside from this incredibly annoying micro stutter every ~4 seconds. I've tried disabling V-Sync, which causes the loading issue, but disabling G-Sync is actually far worse for that same issue. I've tried adjusting my monitor's refresh rate to every possible frequency, changing graphical settings through the launcher, and forcing settings through the NVIDIA Control Panel, and nothing seems to fix this micro stutter. It's fairly subtle (many gamers might not even notice it), but in the middle of a fast-paced action scene, it's very distracting, especially when it happens every few seconds. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    *update & solution*

After trying everything under the sun to fix this problem, I did some searching and discovered that this game uses the same engine as Assassin's Creed, which apparently suffers from this same issue. While most of the complaints were most likely attributed to hardware deficiencies, this was something different. Regardless of what was happening in-game the framerate would consistently drop by a few fps every few seconds. I tried some suggested solutions and eventually tried one that actually worked!!!! I copied the following from this link (https://steamcommunity.com/app/58216...71158272579/):

    1. Open your game
    2. Alt-tan
    3. Ctrl + alt + delete
    4. Task Manager
    5. Go to details
    6. Right click origins then set priority to “Normal”
    7. Right click it again then set affinity cores
    8. Untick CPU 0.
    9. Go back to your game, run around for 2 minutes with task manager open.
    10. Tab out into task manager then set affinity cores and tick CPU 0 again
    11. Keep task manager open, go back to your game and it should fix cpu Usage and stuttering.

After all of the trial and error, it's satisfying to know that there is a solution and I'm not going insane.
