Ubisoft Missed An Opportunity
First, I want to start out by saying that I love the Ghost Recon series... but Ubisoft... you really missed an opportunity. And not just once, but multiple times. I participated in several of the betas, logging bugs and pointing out issues, as did many and the game, despite the bugs, was ramrodded through, ignoring a lot of the comments, feedback, and suggestions from the beta testers. Fine. Sales lagged and the BP title didn't do well, but then came March 2020... when much of the world was being shuttered and game and console sales were shooting through the roof as many people were either laid off or working from home... but not BP. Why? Why didn't Ubisoft take the time from March onward to really hunker down and fix the many BP bugs that were out there? Why did patch after promised patch keep getting pushed back, with 2.0.5 being skipped, 2.1 being horribly buggy, and 3.0 not fix most of the bugs reported even after being horribly delayed (like 2.1 was... it was incredibly late)? I am glad that content is being added, including new episodes, but you missed several opportunities: the opportunity to fix the many issues identified in beta that wrecked BP sales and then the opportunity to capitalize on the fact that for six months much of the world has been stuck at home due to lockdowns, people being laid off, and people working from home.
And why was this last opportunity missed? Because just like with the release, bugs weren't being fixed and the userbase was being ignored. I've submitted a bunch of TU 2.1 bugs and not one, including major ones, were fixed in TU 3.0, but from the looks of it, 3.0 added even more bugs, as well as what looks like silly mistakes (e.g. why are there no tactical caches in the raid sectors? the pathfinder class is sorely lacking in the raid specifically because of this! who simply forgot to put some in there... or, even worse, decided that the raid shouldn't have them, knowing that the pathfinder class requires them and the bivouac only gives you 1). The world literally gave you a second huge opportunity -- game sales have been through the roof -- and you goofed. Please, please restore the franchise... fix the bugs quickly, get better QA, and listen to your community better.
I say this as a software developer with over 20 years of experience: there is no excuse for the state of the game, for the poor QA, and for all of the delays... and there is no excuse for the missed opportunities. You're literally killing your own game.
