Uplay asks for activation code although i acquired it from epic games | Forums

I got for honor from epic for free but when i go to play the game uplay asks my for a verification code

my ubisoft and epic games accounts are linked and i have played games from epic before and i have never encountered this

Ah, sorry to hear this! Try this:

Please make sure you're launching EGS and Uplay with admin privileges, by following these steps.

Then, please, navigate to the Ubisoft Game Launcher "cache" folder, by default located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache

Open the cache folder and move the "ownership" folder to a safe location.

Once you have backed up that folder, delete the "cache" folder.

Test again after trying these steps and let me know if the issue persists.

Im having a key issue but via steam and uplay, it keeps asking for my 'activation key' which i havent needed to enter since i bought it the first time.

The problem is the keys are not on steam and they are not on uplay either, yet all my reciepts for every single purchase of this game are on steam.

Why is this suddenly a problem seriously?

I am sorry to hear that.

Have you tried logging out of both Steam and Uplay, relaunching both apps as system administrator and then launching your game?
