    Unofficial discord

I created a discord for the forums bois and girls to hang out in. But also for us to stream the game once it is released. Unlike the skull and bones UBI server with dictatorial rules, these rules do not exist on this server.

    Feel free to join

    https://discord.gg/RrQGnbf

    See you inside hopefully

Ubisoft doesn't have a Skull & Bones server yet/currently. The "main" Discord server (that I know about, at least) is entirely community-run and is [loosely] affiliated with the [also unofficial] subreddit.

Just as a point of clarity for folks.

That’s entirely not how the law works saint. The moment you let any one with legal Ubisoft representation into your server you made it official. The TOS stipulates that anything where Ubisoft IP is in use for their goal of advertisement or enforcement of the game belongs to them.

Your keepers report to Ubisoft officially. Your at their whims. Your rules belong to them as well, nothing you do is controlled by you. The entire discord is officially Ubisoft property even if the discord is fan run. The Skull and Bones main link to discord when searched leads directly to the discord. It’s offical no ifs or buts about it.

Currently there are no unofficial servers that are free or ubi influence.

Tech even the server I made is owned by Ubisoft for that fact, but it’s furthest away form being official

    1. I'm not a keeper (rip me).

    2. The keepers don't report to Ubisoft with respect to how they engage with the community or the Discord server, officially or otherwise.

    3. The rules were entirely established by the administrators of the server and have nothing to do with Ubisoft.

    4. Just because an employee of a company exists in a space does not make that space and official company space.

    5. That's not how ownership or the concept of being official works, anyway.

All that said, I'm not suggesting that people don't join other fan-managed servers. If someone likes a server, go for it! I've got no horse in that race, and if one server isn't for them but another is, then hey, good for them, they found a place to participate in a community.

I'm just clarifying the status of the subreddit's Discord server for other folks to avoid / prevent any potential confusion about what it actually is—a fan-made, fan-run server like any other.
