🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

To the devs, please consider this

Dear Division 2 dev team, over the course of almost two years I have seen your staff ruin a beloved game. You changed 3 AR's from Division 1 and turn them into rifles in Division 2. You changed the ENTIRE gear format which has been abysmal and an abomination. One of your devs changed the ENTIRE way of the gear system and now it's in a state of chaos. Yes, we get it you all think it's fine, but I ask you this and I hope one of you like Bruce, Drew, Mackenzie or Nikki answers this thread and truly understand that the way this game is and the true state it is in, is not what this community wants. You say you listen and in reality with your State of the games you truly aren't. IDK why you just don't put out a major wide survey and ask the community what we want. Ubisoft your boss did it with Breakpoint and it had a lot of positive feedback. Also, the whole cheating scandal you all there handled that poorly and the data leak that Bruce Kelly said was data mined, which is a lie. Marco Stylez put a video out telling everyone he got it from a member of your staff. How did he obtain it? Hamish Bode is apart of MarcoStylez, Widdz and SleepYO's clan. Yet, they openly admitted to cheating and you all did nothing. I know you guys there aren't naive. But someone on your staff has to be held accountable for that. You have truly upset a lot of content creators that support your game and now they are bashing it and some are even thinking of bringing a lawsuit up against Massive. Also, can we change clan to Squad or Guild? With everything that is going on with systematic racism clan is very racist.

Now, let's get down to brass tax here. The Skyscraper (Summit) is terrible. The PTS I saw on YouTube there was no replayability at all. I do have a solution and here it is. You take Division 1 and 2 and you make them one game. You scrap about half the guns, including gear 2.0, you bring back the Lightweight M4, LVOA-C and ACR SS and make them AR's like they are in Division 1. You combine the Global events with that of D1 and bring the points system back into it. Also, make the new gear sets classified. By adding the point system back what you are doing is making it playable and making it worth the players time. You put Rogue Agents and Hunters at the end of every Legendary makes it that much more enjoyable. Basically you are merging both games and just call it The Division and add seasons every 3 months and new DLC and modes every 6 months. This way the PvP community is happy because you already have an established PvP. That way, the community is happy you as devs will be less stressed and won't get all this backlash. I'm telling you Massive devs that this is really the only way to save this game. If you continue this current path the community is going to leave and I have taken it upon myself to ask these questions and I have gotten a lot of feedback, but they like this idea. Massive, Division shouldn't have a sequel. It should just be like every MMORPG out there. Do what your predecessors Blizzard have done with WoW. Look at SWTOR, it's still star wars but it has expansions and people love them.

Thanks and I hope you all can consider this the communities proposal as a positive step forward

    Ciao

I could not agree with you more. Well said and exactly what this game needs. Sadly. This franchise has been destroyed. The devs made this game for themselves. Not for the community. This is the vision of Massive entertainment.

Clan - A group united by a common interest or common characteristics

Yep, so racist. Everything is racist. Systemically even.

Just go play Division 1. I'm sure the servers are still up.

So basically you want chicken dance meta with 4 sets avaiable... and because you have some kind of weird fetish for m4 variants the whole game is broken. Clan the word used in every single competetive PC game ever is racist because THE BIG US has problem nobody else in rest of the world gives 2 damns about. And I almost forgot THE BIGGEST issue... somebody knew how to finish raid bosses first

You know, I am always very reasonable man but you sir are just a clown...

I'd like to voice my support for all the changes made - especially now that I'm playing TD1. The only thing better about TD1 is the atmosphere. The Summit looks like an interesting way to mix up farming when it's got what I'm targeting [though maybe randomize/refresh the target after completing 10 levels?].

Gear 2.0 was a breathe of fresh air that opened up more build permutations, and lowered the grind time [much appreciated, as an employed family man, who rarely crosses off double digit gaming time in a week]. Sure, I can't have 4+ talents like I used to, but it's not holding back my gameplay [I'd argue I'm stronger now, or Heroic is easier]. Plus, the stat bank has been sehr welcome.

That said, I love the idea of merging the two games, giving me updated visuals + the better game mechanics [combat is sooo much nicer in TD2], while adding even more variety of activities and missions [plus the newer UI].

Some people have really short memories. The complaints about RNG in Gear 1.0 were even worse than they are now. The arcane requirements to activate talents pushed many people away from the game once they'd finished the campaign.

TL;DR - if you want Div 1, go play Div 1.

I was ready to move on to another game, when they announced Gear 2.0 - I hated the pip gating, plus the inventory management headache.

Mass Effect use the word Clan? SWTOR, Star Wars Galaxies? WOW?? DDO?? They use the word Clan? You said every PC! Those are PC games and none of them use clan. They're called Guilds, wow, with what's going in the world and you just blatantly not giving a damn that the word Clan is used.by the KKK? The word is literally used in their organization! Wow, bravo, you showed everyone here how completely stupid you are. The M4 wasn't a variants idiot! It was listed as an AR. Sorry, you're to stupid to know that. Ya know I am not gonna waste my time insulting you because might cry to your mommy! Go home little boy, the adults are speaking
