Seriously, this is one gear set I have never been a fan of due to how unreliable its effect is. Ill post the video a little later, but it shows me absolutely unloading into guys and the bleed effect never going on them. NEver mind how the Shrapnel talent seems to rarely work at all. 30%? Id believe 3%.....
Time and again I put 10-20-30-40 bullets into a single guy and the bleed never sticks. Then ya got GE Events messing with the pred bleed....
Its such an unreliable gear set..
On top of that, I find its easier to just kill the guy, vs letting bleed kill them. Usually if it does stick, the guy is either dead, so the bleed was pointless, or it winds up being such a miniscule amount that im left thinkin' "what was the point!?"
We need more information here...Originally Posted by KnightGhostbear Go to original post
1. are you running 9k stamina?
2. they may have an healing immunize box
3. They used a medkit and have adrenaline
4. They took an Energy Bar
5. What talents are you ruinning on guns? (deadly/vicious/competent) would be good for a ligthweigh M4.
9K Stamina? Not yet. But 9k Stamina doesnt prevent the Bleed from happening at all, or just not working because it doesnt feel like it.......Originally Posted by TOKYO_ROGUE_YT Go to original post
2-4: Im not PVPing, im talking purely PVE and against AI enemies.
I know MEDICS are immune to the Pred Bleed, but that is just yet another reason I dont like Predator. Its like the only set where an enemy can be immune to it's effects.
What talents? Im running an ACR with Vicious, Predatory and Ferocious. (Seriously, screw the Light Wight M4). I am gunna vomit if I see another LWM4. Im so beyond sick and tired of that gun and The House.....I go out of my way to NOT use it.
I know the thing says "10 hits without switching targets", but does it consider a 'miss' a 'switched target'? If so, thats just another feather in the cap of why I dont like it. Thinkin im gunna land 100% accuracy is a joke and a half. Unless I wanna just nice and slowly take aim for 10 hits....derp....get over run all the time firing like that.
And here is just one little quick WHVT I did. It shows it pretty well....Its still processing at this moment....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_75...ature=youtu.be
Wanna watch it in action? 0:50, when im taking controlled single shots at that fattie and its not even counting up the hits at all....
Then again at 2:12, where I basically unload into that Cleaner guy and nothing......
So, you are not using a 9K stamina build for predator? Then change build right now.Originally Posted by KnightGhostbear Go to original post
Also, don't forget about the global even... if you npc with bleed bullet... they may not get the bleed, same goes for q frag grenade.
Pred is good when you know how to build and use it.
700k crit bleed
WEll, I got the 9k Stamina and its still a finnicky unreliable hunk of junk. It still doesnt like to put the bleed on the enemy every time. Guess ill see what it does after...Originally Posted by TOKYO_ROGUE_YT Go to original post
Only reason I didnt have 9k was it was on a new acct, that didnt have stamina mods to get 9k. The vendor switched over and they sold the Stamina gear mod bp, so yeah...
And ideally, I want Alpha BRidge, but that wasnt one of the options for this GE.
My PvE opinion of Predators Mark is much the same. Personally, I find it too slow. I am often surrounded before they bleed out. As a result, I generally run D3, Striker, Tacticians Authority, Hunters Faith, and Nomad (in that order) on most PvE content up to challenging. I will say that as eluded to above, Predators Mark isn't much until you hit the 9k Stamina. When I first looked at that I was thinking well that doesn't leave enough Firearms points to hurt anyone. It slows down the damage, but then it damages over time. Not the best when the shotgun rushers are closing in.
Some of the gear sets are a bit situational. For instance, I like Final Measure but only in missions or locations where they grenade spam you. It can be quite powerful when built right. I have a full electronics FM as well as Alpha Bridge. AB used to be really good when the classifieds were first released, but it isn't quite as good now. I never run the 6 piece though built like the instructions want you to. While it is fun, there are 1/2 of the gear sets that are better. I've got over 4k hours in the game now so I've tried a bunch more alternative builds and/or hybrid builds using the Ninja bag. They can be fun.
Yeah, Predator just seems to be a really confused gear set.Originally Posted by Bambihunter71 Go to original post
I find the guy is DEAD before I bleed him out. Then I throw on Shrapnel for the bleed spread, but 30%? It barely ever goes off. Sure, sure, its nice when it does, but overall, its not dependable. Its a gear set that trades all its firearms so that you lower your damage enough to get 10 hits in for the bleed. Whats more, is despite the 9k Stamina is still insanely squishy. I put all my points and mods towards Crit Damage and Crit chance to maximize, or try to maximize the bleed effect, but I still find the target dies before I proc the bleed on them. Then the bleed doesnt proc like its supposed to. Othertimes, it doesnt do enough to warrant even using Predator.
My Most used PVE Gearset is my 5 piece Nomad. I love that set for PVE. It falls apart in LEgendary, but its pretty tough for everything else. I also have a good deal of fun with AlphaBridge. AB is fun, but I sometimes get myself in trouble coming off Nomad. Nomad is nigh on invulnerable, with 30% LoK, Nomad Heal+Predator for heals. Then Nomad Revive+Recovery Link should I get in that much trouble. I rarely need more then that and I am not putting my life in the hands of RNG for the 6p Nomad rez(which is why I only use 5p). However, I run Nomad for awhile, get aggressive(cuz I can be) with Nomad, and then put on AB and promptly get wrecked usually. AB can be tough, but only if I kill fast enough and only if the right signature is on rotation when I get the kill. I get Tac Link with astounding regularity....
I also have a FM/Nomad/D3 Ninjabike setup. It is quite tough and works well for PVE. I even ran it through 2 man legendary the other day, after my Nomad got swatted down. The 30% EDR is quite nice. Its a nice blend of my Nomad heals+LoK, with FM/D3 EDR.
My other set is Reclaimer cuz healer.
But Predator...ive tried and tried to make this set work and tried to like it. I just dont. It looks cool as hell, but yeah, I just am not a huge fan.
