To the Developer - Deaf Problem - Oculus Quest
Hello!
As the title state... I am a deaf and I have always loved Star Trek series so naturally, you can imagine the thrill of trying out as a captain of the starship, especially in VR mode. Despite knowing how the game rely heavily on voice communication, I still went ahead and purchase the game just for single player game and experience. As so far, I am enjoying the game but as a deaf, I am continually frustrated with lack of deaf accessibility, such as subtitles. Subtitles for computer, log, and NPC. I am wondering if you would include subtitle features in the near future? It would make the game more enjoyable for not only deaf people but for other people who want to read subtitles.
Aside from that, I have several deaf friends who are into the game. I do understand that the nature of the game rely heavily on voice communication, which is understandable. But deaf people have a way of getting around the barrier. As long as VR games have hands and arms for us to use and interact, we will and are able to use limited sign language and gestures to communicate with each other. (Much like Arizona Sunshine, where we use our hands to communicate with each other). The only thing that bothers me is this "Mic test" to which I have to try to pass in order to get into custom game. Is there a way to get rid of that or include some kind of feature where you can turn and bypass mic off? My deaf friends and I do not need mic to communicate with each other and not everyone is profound in using voice (I suck at using my voice big time). Right now, some of my deaf friends are hesitating in buying the game because the nature of the game that rely heavily on voice communication.
I believe provide accessibility to people with disabilities are so crucial important. Not only you would be able to get more players, you would be setting a great example to other of what a great company and a great game can do.
I am currently using Oculus Quest. Again, I would like to know if there is any plans on including subtitles for NPC voice and feature to bypass mic test.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Steelix80 (Carl)

Is this forums dead? Lately, I have been reading bunch of threads and I don't see Ubisoft respond them all. What is going on???

Apparently they got our money & they aren't interested in getting any more. I'm trying to find out how to add friends to STBC so I can invite them into a multiplayer game, but can't figure out how to do that. I joined the Ubisoft Club hoping that would help, but that only lists options of PC or PS4 & after asking tech support, they told me STBC for Oculus isn't available in the club. Good grief!

That's horrible.
I'm starting to agree with you on that part where they're not interested in getting any more money. I even tried to email to their customer support and got the worst response ever. It was like an automated email saying that they would let us know if there's any changes in the game, while at the same time, entirely ignoring my question.
I'm starting to regret buying this game. This could possibly be the worst game developer as well as customer support I ever encountered.

They sadly gave up on the game, it's a shame considering how good it was on previous VR consoles.
